It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Frank J. Tantone, P.E., a respected leader, mentor, and longtime champion of the water industry.

Frank had an exceptional career as a leading designer of water and wastewater facilities across the country. A Professional Engineer registered in multiple states and a member of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers, his technical expertise was matched by his generosity, leadership, and care for others.

Frank served on the Boards of Directors for both AWWA and AZ Water, and he was a Past President of AZ Water. Throughout his career, he received numerous awards and honors in recognition of his selfless contributions to the profession and his lasting impact on the water community.

Those who had the privilege of working with Frank will remember him not only for his accomplishments, but for his mentorship, friendship, and unwavering commitment to the people behind the work. His legacy will continue to live on through the many professionals he inspired and the communities his work served.

Meet Reyna Woods, an inspiring leader whose journey in the water industry reflects resilience, dedication, and a deep commitment to public service.

Born in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, Mexico, Reyna immigrated to the United States as a teen and began her water career 18 years ago as a customer service representative. Through hard work and a passion for supporting her community, she has grown into her current role as Water Administrator at Tucson Water.

Reyna has been a proud AZ Water member since May 2019.
