This past weekend, we had the incredible opportunity to compete in the Larry H. Miller Utah Summer Games.
Three Arizona organizations Queen Creek Ball Hawks, Arizona Starz, and Queen Cobras came together with one mission: to invest in the future of our young female athletes by preparing them for the next level of competition. With high school girls flag football continuing to grow and college opportunities expanding, our focus is on giving these young ladies every opportunity to succeed in the 7v7 game they'll be playing for years to come.
Our roster was made up primarily of 7th, 8th, and 9th graders, along with just two 10th graders, competing against some of the best high school talent in the West including the Nevada State Champions and State Runner-Up.
To say these 14 young ladies left everything on the field would be an understatement.
They played with heart. They played with passion. They played for each other. And they did it all with zero drama just relentless effort, resilience, and teamwork.
Our final pool play game went 7 overtimes, and our Bronze Medal match battled through 6 overtimes. Every possession, every stop, and every score showed the toughness and determination of this group.
We may not have brought home the Gold championship, but we came home with something just as valuable the confidence and proof that our young women can compete with the very best. 2026 Bronze Medal winners!
A huge thank you to Coach Angel, Coach Justin, and Coach Mike for the countless hours of preparation, leadership, and belief in these athletes. None of this happens without coaches who are committed to developing not just better football players, but stronger young women.
This is only the beginning.
More to come. 💚🏈💙
