💜💜 Jazzy’s Story💜💜
--------------------
Jazzy, aka "Little Man" took an unexpected and unwanted trip around Kintnersville, PA for over 3 weeks after becoming spooked at his home. Over the first few days, sightings were coming in quickly as he was actively being pursued/followed by good samaratins trying to catch him and bring him to safety. Jazzy managed to out maneuver them and slip off into the woods. Megan, (his mommy) followed our guidance with precision like accuracy. Trusting the process she continued to hang posters and wait for the all important one phone call that could change the trajectory of the case. A little over two weeks into Little Man's time on the run, the phone call came! Jazzy was spotted chilling in some tall weeds by a creek from a man mowing his lawn. It turns out Jazzy couldn't have picked a better spot. The property he had settled on was mostly fenced in and owned by none other than a family member of a Team Ruby volunteer. A plan was made, a trap was set and Jazzy was not having any of it! Torrential rains would come and Jazzy would disappear for a few days only to pop back out take a couple bites and dissappear again. Meghan brought Jazzy's big sister Jubilee to the property for a visit in hopes to encourage him to come out of hiding. Much to our dismay, this schedule continued. More rain, more visits for food, but still no success. A Missy trap was built because during his visits you could see he was fearful of the first trap. This took some time for him to become comfortable with his new surroundings, but finally he was a brave boy and entered for a much needed meal. The door closed and Jazzy was finally safe. We would be remiss if we didn't thank Chase and Taylor for letting us come and go at all hours of the day and night on their property to bring this boy home. Jazzy has settled back in to his old routine and recovering from an eye and ear infection. Along with medication, a much needed bath/haircut and love from his family is what the Dr. ordered. Welcome home Jazzy!

IT'S THE 4TH OF JULY
does everyone know where their dogs are???
Now is a great time to tire them out, go for a swim, long walk with a well fitted Martingale collar & a sporn harness.
Try to be back well before dark & check on your dogs!!

Hope everyone enjoys their celebration plans this 4th of July!
This is the day when so many dogs get lost we literally cannot answer all the messages!!
Trying something new, taking a proactive approach to try to raise awareness, offer tips, so drop a comment and sharing your experiences....

In the mean-time here is what we've come up with:
Manage Fireworks and Anxiety

Create a sanctuary: Set up a windowless room, basement, or closet with their favorite blankets and bed.

Block out noise: Close all windows and blinds. Turn on a TV, radio, or white noise machine to drown out the booms.

Provide distractions: Keep your dog busy with long-lasting chew toys or frozen puzzle feeders.

Use calming aids: Consider a pressure vest like a Thundershirt, or talk to your vet ahead of time about anti-anxiety medicationsTell us what you do to keep your dog safe, calm and secured inside your home!
