Earlier this month, our CEO, Elise Johansen, attended The CT Community Nonprofit Alliance's Eastern Connecticut Legislative Candidate Forum, bringing together nonprofits and local candidates for state representative and state senator.

The forum provided a valuable opportunity to hear candidates’ priorities, share the challenges facing nonprofit organizations, and discuss the issues that matter most to the children and families we serve.

Staying connected with what’s happening at the state and federal levels is an important part of our leadership team’s work. These conversations help ensure that the needs of children and families remain part of the discussion as policies and decisions are shaped.

A heartfelt thank you to the Tobin, Carberry, O'Malley, Riley & Selinger Law Firm (TCORS) for your continued support of Waterford Country School over the decades! From generously supporting our fundraisers and campaigns to attending our events and for choosing us as one of the beneficiaries of your annual charity golf tournament, your commitment to our mission means so much to us.

We were also excited to have had a WCS and Children & Family Agency foursome on the course this year, including our CEO and Administrative Assistant for our school, representing WCS and enjoying a wonderful day of golf! ⛳

We are truly grateful for this longstanding partnership and for your continued dedication to the children and families we serve. Thank you for being part of the WCS family and helping us do Whatever It Takes!

Earlier this month, members of our WCS Team had the pleasure of attending the United for Gemma Fall Gala, a wonderful evening benefiting the Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Center!

The Food Center distributes more than 2.1 million meals each year through a network of local food pantries and community partners, including the pantry right here at Waterford Country School. We’re grateful to be part of a community working together to help ensure individuals and families have access to the food they need.
