🎪 A GIANT LIE IS ABOUT TO COME TO LIFE…

In 1877, a mysterious petrified “giant” was discovered near Beulah, Colorado. Newspapers spread the story, crowds demanded to see it, and one of Southern Colorado’s strangest legends was born.

This October, that incredible tale takes the stage in the world premiere of The Solid Muldoon: When Giants Walked the Earth—a powerful new operetta by David Volk and Kennedy Pugh.

Step beneath the circus tent and enter a haunting world of spectacle, ambition, grief, deception, and buried truth—where railroad workers, fortune seekers, circus performers, and a majestic elephant become caught in a scheme larger than any of them imagined.

Created by local artists and inspired by Colorado history, this unforgettable theatrical experience blends compelling music, striking imagery, and a story that asks: What happens when the lie becomes more valuable than the truth?

📅 October 9–11, 2026
📍 Sangre de Cristo Arts Center, Pueblo
