It’s time for the annual Active Transportation Count! The AT Count is a great opportunity to collect data that helps make Provo a safer place for everyone.

Sign up at the link in our bio to tally pedestrians, cyclists, and other micro-mobility users at locations across the city.

Choose between Tues Sept 22, 4:30pm-7 pm or Sat Sept 26, 9:30am-noon (or both!). Meet at the NW corner of the Provo City Library. Snacks and collection materials will be provided 😊

Thanks to Public Works for taking advantage of the repaving work and making a small but important change to the 200 N/200 E mini-roundabout by adding “shark’s teeth” yield lines to remind drivers to slow down and yield for pedestrians and other traffic. Small things make a big difference.

The rubber bumpers around the roundabout that contributed to traffic calming will be restored, right?

As construction on the new 820 North Bridge wraps up, the city included a tribute to Isabelle Parr by incorporating her favorite flower, the sunflower, into the project.

Isabelle was a UVU student who was killed in a hit-and-run while jogging near this location in December 2022. More than three years later, the case remains unsolved.

We’re grateful to see this dangerous roadway connection being closed and replaced with a safer crossing. It’s heartbreaking that it took a tragedy like this to bring about change, but these improvements will help make the area safer for everyone who walks, bikes, and rolls through the area.
