Utah Collegiate Singers

Utah Collegiate Singers A community of experienced singers who create music to stir the soul and heal the wounded heart. Many others simply love the experience of singing choral music.

Our first goal is to strengthen the hearts and minds of our audiences along with our own, through the creation of beautiful music. The two current directors, Danny Gray and Dalan Guthrie, have studied and participated extensively in the BYU style of choral music, and have added their own twist. A common goal for many who participate in this group is to stay in good vocal shape and be guided and pr

epared for upcoming auditions for various singing groups. Our 2016 season rehearsals will once again be on Thursday evenings, beginning in late April. This year, we will have one concert on August 8, in the Orem Public Library at 7:30 pm. If you are interested in singing with us, please contact us! We want you to join! Mark your calendars! CALL-BACKS for our 2017 season will be on Saturday, APR 22 from 10am-2pm at the following address:

Below are your specific call times.

Sopranos: 10:00am
Altos: 11:00am
Tenors: 12:00pm
Basses: 1:00pm

If you are a returning member, you get to come straight to the call-backs! Congrats!

If you are new, simply record a video of yourself singing a hymn that demonstrates good tone, a comfortable range, and general musicianship. No need to be fancy; don't stress too much over it. Please email your videos by 11:59pm APR 20 to the following address:

In the subject box, type "UCS 2017 Audition Video" and be sure to leave your first and last name in the message. Easy-peasy, right? We will notify you regarding call-backs the evening of APR 21.

Utah Collegiate Singers, directed by Danny Gray and Dalan Guthrie, will be performing this coming Monday, August 11, at 7:30pm in the BYU HFAC Gallery. We will be accompanying Canticum Lucis (directed by Devan Weixler and Kalie Martin) for our summer concert. Admission is free, and the concert will last about 60 minutes. Please come and listen to the wonderful music we have prepared. All are welcome!
