Meeting Dipali....
"This summer our family had the incredible privilege of travelling to Bihar, India, with Rising Star Outreach. One of the most special moments was meeting our sponsor, Dipali. We were all very excited, and despite some language barriers, it was incredible to see how we could truly connect with people through simple, universal means, like tic-tac-toe and writing our family's and her family's names.
It was incredible to see how much thought and care Rising Star Outreach took in placing us with Dipali. We have a family of three girls and one boy, and Dipali had the exact family composition. We all shared many interests and connected on so many levels. Although she was only 8 years old, she was smart, eager to learn, kind, talented, and so excited to be in school.
Throughout our time there, I had so many opportunities to play, read and interact with and give lots of hugs to Dipali. I can't wait to continue to connect with her virtually in the years to come!"
