MountainStar Prineville is the Crook County center of MountainStar Family Relief Nursery, a child abu

MountainStar Prineville provides the following services for high-risk local families:

Someone to call when you need support
Emergency supplies (diapers, clothing, food)
Parenting support and coaching
Therapeutic classes for children (age birth to 3)
Home visits
Developmental and health screenings for children
Connections to community resources
Transportation to and from MountainStar activities

There's something special about fall in Central Oregon. The leaves are changing, the air is getting crisper, and the holidays are just around the corner. 🍁✨

But while this season brings so much beauty and excitement, it can also bring added stress for families. Between settling into school routines, preparing for the holidays, and navigating everyday challenges, this time of year can feel overwhelming.

That's why we're especially grateful for the work happening at MountainStar. 💜

Through therapeutic classrooms, home visiting, essential resources, and compassionate family support, our team walks alongside parents and caregivers, helping ease stress and create stability during life's challenging seasons.

The Bend Witches Paddle is more than a fun Halloween tradition—it's a chance for our community to come together and make a meaningful difference for local children and families! ✨

Every witch hat, paddleboard, and donation helps raise awareness for MountainStar's mission to prevent child abuse and neglect across Central Oregon.

Through therapeutic classrooms, home visiting, parent education, and essential resources, MountainStar walks alongside families experiencing overwhelming stress, helping children feel safe, supported, and ready to thrive.

What a fun evening it was at MountainStar Prineville. We are so thankful for Think Wild for coming to visit us and teaching us about Owls! 🦉 We got to hear the tale of an injured Owl named Greta and how she was helped by veterinarians and released back into the wild. Then we got to make our own Owls, and explore some cool touchable animal items.

Thanks everyone who showed up. It was such a great time. ❤️
