Chuck Mathena Center Culture - Music - Community In the spring of 1992, the Mathena family and Princeton community lost a remarkable young man. Through this tragedy, the Charles T.

Charles T. “Chuck” Mathena II was the only son to Charlie and Marquetta Mathena, and an avid performing arts participant and supporter. Chuck Mathena II Foundation was formed, with the original intent of offering assistance to high school students pursuing higher education. Over the years, the need for a performing arts venue in southern West Virginia became more evident, and with the support of t

he entire community and state, the dream of the Chuck Mathena Center became a reality. On July 11, 2008, CMC opened for its inaugural performance, and now hosts over 46,000 visitors annually. With a nearly 1,000 seat theatre, state-of-the-art audio and visual capabilities, and stunning architecture, CMC is a one of a kind experience in southern West Virginia. The CMC stage plays host to year-long national touring productions, including off-Broadway theatre and musicals, concerts, comedy, dance, and more. The entire facility is available for rent, and offers diverse space for parties of 10 to nearly 1000.

45 years...that's a lot of costume changes!

A lot of nervous first recitals.
A lot of quick changes backstage.
A lot of hairspray and bobby pins.
A lot of happy tears.
And a whole lot of memories.

For 45 years, Princeton Dance Studio has been teaching dance, building confidence, and creating a place where students can grow, perform, and be themselves.

From tiny dancers taking the stage for the first time to seniors taking their final bow, we're grateful for every student, family, teacher, volunteer, and alum who has been part of the story. Thank you for helping us celebrate 45 years of Princeton Dance Studio. Here's to the memories we've made and the many more still to come. Happy Recital Week, PDS!

Happy concert day to Melrose School & Mercer Elementary School! Families are welcome to attend today's performance. Please remember that food, drinks, bottles, etc. are not allowed in our theatre. Diaper bags and car seats can be stored at coat check on the left hand side of the lobby. Handicapped seating is located in Rows J, K, & L, please allow these seats to be occupied by those who need them. The concert will begin at 9:00AM and admission is free.

Tables for canned food donations will be setup in the lobby. Thank you for helping restock the pantries of Tender Mercies!
