Yavapai Reentry Project

Yavapai Reentry Project Regional support system giving hope & promoting reintegration of formerly incarcerated individuals.

The Yavapai Reentry Project was established in 2011 to focus on a key population in the community whose needs were not being fulfilled— those exiting the department of corrections. In an effort to reduce recidivism, improve individual lives, and promote a safer community for all in Yavapai County, a group of non-profit organizations, government offices, and motivated community members came together to form the Yavapai Reentry Project.

April is both and —and we’re excited to honor the power of connection and community!

Our volunteers are the heart of prevention. By building relationships, they help create safe spaces and brighter futures for youth and families.

Managing stress matters, too. Chronic stress can increase the risk of substance use and mental health challenges—but together, we can build resilience and hope.

This month, let’s celebrate those who give their time and hearts, and remember: supporting each other is prevention in action. 💚

Everyone deserves a second chance.

At Yavapai Reentry Project, we support individuals as they rebuild their lives after incarceration—through mentorship, connection, and community resources.

Because change is possible, and no one should have to do it alone.

At the end of January, YRP staff took time to celebrate the incredible who are making a difference one person at a time.

Our Community Coaches are dedicated volunteer mentors who support community members returning home from incarceration. The impact they make reaches far beyond the person they’re paired with — strengthening families, building connections, and creating safer, healthier communities for all of us. 💙✨
