What a blessing you are to our diocese! We are overwhelmed with your generosity and the work of Blankets 4 Kids, Inc. We cannot imagine a more impactful gift for our hurricane-battered community, especially as the winter months are approaching. The blankets and precious animals will be loved by many. We are working with our volunteers to adopt Ida Children and be sure each of them have Christmas presents and partnering with an organization who is providing mattresses for kids to add the blanket with the mattress delivery. This is huge, because hundreds of homes had roof and water damage destroying the contents of their homes and the kids will now have a toy and blanket. I hope to have some pics of the kids to send you soon as well.
We very much enjoyed visiting with Tony and David. We hope they enjoyed sharing valuable fellowship time with us yesterday morning as much as we enjoyed them. We were able to get most of our office involved with this special delivery. It was a highlight of our day as we gathered for the “Blessing of the Blankets”. Fr. Simon Peter, Fr. Glenn and Bishop Fabre were in attendance for our special blessing along with many of our staff.
