Here is to a great 2026-2027 school year 🎒✏️📚

Thanks to the generosity of our local businesses and church partners, our Back to School Giveaway was a huge success!

We were able to make sure our students, along with many other children in our community, were ready to start the school year with brand-new backpacks filled with all the supplies they need for a successful year.

A special thank you to Honey Brew Coffee Co. , Connection Church and Knights of Columbus for helping gather and donate supplies to make this possible. We are so grateful for your continued support of our students and community!

This year’s Summer Theater Club performance of David & Goliath was extra special. We watched students step outside their comfort zones in incredible ways—some performed for the very first time, others conquered fears, and some who would have once hidden off to the side were now front and center, dancing with confidence.

We truly felt God moving powerfully through our students and their performance. The story of David & Goliath reminded us all that with God, anything is possible!

And as if the performance wasn’t special enough, we also celebrated Project Purpose’s 15th Anniversary 🎉

Following the show, more than 100 family members, students, volunteers, and staff gathered together over a delicious meal to celebrate this incredible milestone.

God has been so faithful to Project Purpose over the past 15 years, and we are humbled that He continues to use us as a vessel to share His love with our students and their community.

We are incredibly grateful for the volunteers, church partners, donors, families, and supporters who continue to pour into Project Purpose, help meet tangible needs, and make all of this possible.

15 years of God’s faithfulness—and we’re excited to see what He has in store for the years ahead!

Fall is coming… and we need YOU!

As we get ready for another school year at Project Purpose, we’re looking for some amazing volunteers to join us this fall!

You don’t have to have all the answers—you just have to be willing to show up, love well, and make a difference.

Our students need people who will invest in them, believe in them, and remind them that they are seen, valued, and created with a purpose.

Learning is in motion at our Summer STEAM Club!

This summer, our students have been diving into the world of Simple Machines-discovering how levers, pulleys, wheels and axles, wedges, inclined planes, and screws make everyday tasks easier. Through hands-on experiments and engineering challenges, they're building curiosity, problem-solving skills, and confidence.

Here are a few of our favorite student reflections:

💬 "That the skinnier straw worked better than the wide one to put a hole in the potato."
— Aniyah, Kindergartener, after exploring wedges

💬 "The fan! It has wedges, screws, a wheel and axle, and a lever to turn it on! I didn't know it had so many simple machines!"
— Nasir, 7th grader, making real-world connections

💬 "The wheels got wobbly after a bit.I'd add more tape around the wheel where it attaches so it would be sturdier."
—Ryan, a 3rd grade, reflecting on how he can improve his rubber band car

We love seeing our students think like engineers- asking questions, testing ideas, solving problems, and discovering that learning is all around them. We can't wait to see what they explore next!

Our middle school students are having a blast at camp this week!

We're especially excited that one of our students is serving as a camp counselor for the very first time! What an incredible opportunity to grow and lead.

Judging by these smiles, it's been an amazing week filled with fun, friendships, and faith!

There is no greater encouragement than hearing how God is working in the lives of our students and their families. Their words remind us why we do what we do—to provide a safe place where students are loved, encouraged, challenged, and ultimately pointed to Christ.

We are so thankful l for the opportunity to walk alongside them each week.

In our Discipleship Program, students learned about 'Doubting Thomas' and discovered an important truth: Jesus isn't afraid of our questions!

Just as Jesus lovingly met Thomas in his doubt, He welcomes our questions too. God doesn't expect us to have all the answers, instead He invites us to seek Him, ask, learn, and grow in our faith.
