Join us on September’s Harvest Moon for a 2-hour part art class, part howl-at-the-moon gathering while we explore our wild sides in this fully immersive blacklight experience!
There’s something old in us that responds to a full moon — an instinct that predates language, the same pull that makes a wolf lift its head and howl. This class is built around that instinct. Step by step, under blacklight, you’ll paint a wolf howling at the full moon: a piece about release, about the parts of ourselves we don’t always let out.
Hosted by Corinne Dermond Corinne Dermond at The Haven PDX, with featured artist Lucas Woolfolk Lucas Woolfolk teaching this neon class. Lucas has spent years on the trail — seven trips to Yellowstone, a forthcoming book about walking coast to coast, and a body of work centered on wildlife and the wild places left in us. He’ll guide the class from blank canvas to finished piece, glowing under blacklight, with the same instinct for wilderness that shapes his own work.
No experience necessary. Everything is provided, just bring yourself, a friend, a willingness to to explore your inner wilderness.
