Be on the lookout for one of our very own!

Mrs. Christenson, our SCIA Band Director, has been selected to join a marching band of nearly 400 band directors from across North America in the Pasadena Rose Parade on January 1, 2026. The band will accompany a colorful, animated float along the 5.5-mile parade route, where Mrs. Christenson will be playing the trombone. The Band Directors Marching Band is entry #67 (yes…really). Mrs. Christenson will be marching in the front row of the band on the far left corner.

The Saluting America's Band Directors parade entry will convey the theme, "America's band directors: We teach music. We teach life." Here is a link to the group's website: https://banddirectorsalute.org/

The Rose Parade can be seen on NBC, ABC, the Hallmark Channel, and Univision on Thursday, January 1, 2026 at 8:00am. It will also be streamed on YouTube, Plex, Tubi, and Roku. Keep an eye out for Mrs. Christenson in the front row of the Band Directors Marching Band (entry #67)!

🎶📣 Welcome Band Parents! 📣🎶

We’re kicking off a brand-new season, and we can’t wait to make this year unforgettable! Here are a few reminders as we get started:

✅ Booster Sign-Ups: We need your support with fundraising, volunteering, and cheering on our band students!
