We took a leap of faith… and our village caught us. ❤️🙏

Yesterday, I cried… a lot… but ultimately made a decision based on faith rather than finances.

Emma/Agatha needed exploratory surgery. We had raised just $300 toward her medical expenses, but I couldn’t bear the thought of making her wait any longer. So I scheduled the surgery anyway, not knowing how we were going to cover it.

I let go and let God.

And then something beautiful happened. Our village showed up. 🥹❤️

Because of the kindness, generosity, and compassion of so many incredible people, our sweet girl was able to undergo surgery today to remove what appeared to be a rope toy from her stomach.

And tonight, Emma is on the road to recovery. ❤️‍🩹

I wish I could find the words to adequately express what I’m feeling. Relief. Gratitude. Disbelief. All of it.

When you’re the one making these decisions, knowing that a life is depending on you while the financial reality is staring you in the face, it’s terrifying.

But today reminded me that we don’t have to carry every burden alone.

To every single person who donated, shared her story, prayed for her, or simply sent love our way… YOU made this possible.

And while Emma can’t tell you herself, I can promise you she’s grateful, too. She’s already feeling better, and that alone is worth more than words could ever express.

From the very bottom of my heart, thank you for catching us when we took that leap of faith.

It takes a village to save a life. And what an extraordinary village we have. ❤️🐾

It’s been confirmed… 😭 after just shy of $1300 for diagnostics today, which is the last little bit we have on our care credit, Agatha (renamed Emma when previously adopted) has a foreign body that is requiring immediate surgery.

We don’t know (can’t tell until doc is looking internally) if any portion of her intestine is necrotic tissue.

I am at a complete loss. I have never been faced with this decision, but if we don’t have the funds, what am I supposed to do? 💔

Foreign body surgery is estimated at a little under $2000

I’m sorry for the confusion with the initial plea posted today…. My mind is spinning….

This update is the most vulnerable I will ever be…. Clearly, people can’t tell distraught when they read it and are so quick to judge. Let me make something very clear, every single dog that has been under my care receives the best care there is, especially when it comes to our veterinary team. Even when I’ve been told nothing else can be done I still search for a way, and in turn THREE credit cards are maxed because of that. She’s only 2 years old. 💔

After spending a year and a half with the family she thought would love her forever, she was returned to our rescue.

Now, because of overwhelming financial strain and a lack of resources, we are facing a decision no rescue should ever have to consider.

Euthanasia. Not because her life doesn’t matter, but because we’re out of options. 😭

She deserves a future. She deserves another chance. And we’re desperately trying to give her one. 💔

💔 He was found outside Dunkin’ Donuts. But nobody ever came looking for him.

Not one phone call. Not one familiar face. Not one person saying, “That’s my dog!”

So we named him Dunkin. 🥹

And while we may never know how this sweet little boy ended up wandering the streets, we do know one thing…

Somebody is missing out on one heck of a dog.

Just LOOK at that face. Those mismatched eyes. That ridiculous little smile. The kind of smile that makes you wonder how anyone could possibly lose him and never come back.

Dunkin doesn’t know he’s a rescue dog. He doesn’t know nobody claimed him. He doesn’t know that somewhere out there is a family who hasn’t even met him yet.

He just knows that people are wonderful, friends are fun, and every new day is another opportunity to wag his tail and make somebody smile. ❤️

He’s approximately 2 years old, weighs around 20 pounds, and has a personality MUCH bigger than his little body. He’s friendly, playful, and has never met a stranger he didn’t want to befriend.

And yet…

He’s still waiting.

Waiting for someone to look at his picture and see more than another dog needing a home.

Waiting for someone to say, “That’s the one. That’s MY dog.”

Because somewhere out there, Dunkin’s person exists. They just haven’t found each other yet.

And wouldn’t it be something if the little dog nobody came looking for ended up being the dog somebody couldn’t imagine living without? 🥹

🌻💛 SOMEONE HAS A BIRTHDAY TO CELEBRATE! 🎉🐾

Our sweet Willow is officially TWO YEARS OLD! 🥹🥳

We rescued Willow when she was just 14 months old, and her entire world was turned upside down. She lost everything she had ever known, and suddenly, the life she was familiar with was gone.

But sometimes, the most heartbreaking chapters lead to the most beautiful beginnings. ❤️

Today, Willow isn’t wondering where she belongs. She KNOWS. 🥹

She’s spending her second birthday surrounded by love, spoiled beyond belief, and living her absolute BESTEST life with the family who gave her a new beginning. 🌻

And when her mama shared this birthday picture, our hearts just melted! 😍
