Registration is Now Open for our 25th Annual Halifax Health - Hospice 5K!

Join us for this year’s 25th Annual Halifax Health – Hospice 5K Run & Walk on Saturday, November 7 at 8:00 am at the Port Orange City Center, presented by the Root Family Foundation! Sign up today at https://hubs.la/Q04ngJ3x0

Race day at the Port Orange City Center is fun for the whole family with sponsor booths, vendors, games, and registration includes a free child entry (age 12 and under with a paying adult).

Funds raised from the 5K Run & Walk will benefit our Family Caregiver Program which plays an integral role in the health of both the patients and their caregivers. This relief program helps the caregivers so they can better help their loved ones through the end-of-life journey.

Recently, we hosted our first Annual Skills Fair!

Offering hands-on learning across our care teams, nurses enhanced wound care skills, CNAs practiced accurate brief measurement and application, and physicians provided focused education on end-of-life care.

Interdisciplinary Team Members, including chaplains and social workers, reinforced compassionate communication and a supportive presence at the bedside.

Together, these moments of learning strengthen the compassionate, high-quality care we provide every day at Halifax Health - Hospice 💙

Recently, our Halifax Health - Bereavement team participated in the Volusia Recovery Alliance’s third annual "Stronger Together" Recovery Awareness Walk on Saturday April 18 at Riverfront Esplanade Park in Daytona Beach.

We joined other community partners and organizations for a powerful day of hope, unity, and celebration!

Halifax Health - Hospice is proud to collaborate with the Volusia Recovery Alliance to facilitate their Bridge4Hope Support group, for those who have lost a loved one to overdose.
