📺☀️ DID YOU KNOW SPIRIT ELEMENTARY HAS ITS VERY OWN NEWS SHOW?! 🎤🎬

That’s right, Trailblazers! Our Spirit Elementary News Crew is hard at work bringing important announcements, exciting updates, and, of course… the LUNCH MENU! 🍕🌮🍎

But our News Crew does SO much more than deliver the news! 🎥

These students are getting hands-on experience with high-end cameras, production equipment, and a professional switchboard as they learn how to control camera views, manipulate sound, switch between shots, and work together to create our daily broadcasts. 🎬🎛️🎤

They’re building confidence, communication skills, teamwork, creativity, and some pretty impressive behind-the-scenes production skills! 🙌

And who is behind it all? Our very own Mrs. G, who runs and directs our News Crew and helps our student broadcasters learn the ins and outs of bringing the news to Spirit! ❤️

And you just never know WHO might show up on the news! 👀📺 Sometimes our crew highlights students who are caught being awesome, celebrating students who have received a Positive Referral, or shining a spotlight on the amazing things happening around our school. 🌟

So remember…

🎥 Lights. Camera. Announcements!
🎤 Who knows? You might be the next Trailblazer on the news! 😉

We are so proud of our News Crew and the leadership, confidence, and real-world skills they are developing along the way.

☀️ Spirit Trailblazers are Lighting The Way! 💚💛

⚾📚 Congratulations to our Mainland Readers! 📚⚾
We are so proud of these Buccaneers for completing the Volusia County Schools Superintendent’s Summer Home Run Reading Challenge! Their commitment to reading didn’t stop when school let out, and they stepped up to the plate all summer long. 💙💛
Each of these students put in the time, logged their reading, and knocked this challenge out of the park! They were also able to enjoy a few well-earned prizes for their hard work.
Way to represent Mainland High School and show that Buccaneers are readers, too! Keep turning those pages and swinging for the fences! 📖⚾
Congratulations, Bucs! We are proud of you!
