WOW! What a night. THANK YOU doesn’t even begin to express our gratitude for what God did through our community last night. We are still taking it all in.

To everyone who showed up, gave, served, shared, encouraged and chose to say yes to helping homeless men in our community — thank you.

There is so much more to share. For now, we’re just incredibly grateful. We will share an update with soon with the winners of the culinary competition and progress toward our goal of raising $75,000.

A safe bed, hot shower and accountability can be the beginning of a completely different story.

When Derek returned to The Blue Water Area Rescue Mission, he found the support and accountability he needed to stay sober, work consistently and eventually move into an apartment of his own.

That is what Plates for a Purpose supports: real help, real hope.

Come be part of it on Oct. 8 at Goodells County Park. Special 2- and 4-ticket packages are available now.

As winter approaches, the need at the Blue Water Area Rescue Mission becomes even more urgent. More men will need a safe place to sleep, warm meals, consistent support and someone to walk alongside them as they work toward stability.

BWARM has grown from a seasonal, largely volunteer-run shelter into a year-round ministry with paid staff, case management and a strong focus on spiritual care. That growth is changing lives, but it also means the Mission needs stronger, more sustainable community support.

That’s why Plates for a Purpose on October 8 matters.

Our first annual fundraiser has a $75,000 goal to help sustain shelter operations over the year ahead. It’s also going to be a great night out — a strolling dinner with food from more than 20 restaurants and beverage partners included, a People’s Choice competition, silent auction and an opportunity to see the impact happening at BWARM.

Winter is coming. The need is real, and this is one meaningful way our community can help meet it.

Don’t wait! Buy your tickets today at bwarm.net

🏈 Alright, football fans… we’ve got a little friendly competition brewing at BWARM!

CJ showed up representing Chiefs Kingdom AND showed up for our neighbors in need—donating an amazing load of clothing for the men staying at our shelter. 👏🏾

We know St. Clair County has a massive pride of Lions fans, but the Chiefs fans are definitely setting the bar high today! 👀 Standard football rivalries aside, we are so incredibly thankful for CJ putting team pride into action to love on our neighbors. These clothes will go directly toward helping the men we serve find real comfort and stability.

Now, Lions fans... we know you have huge hearts! Let’s see which fan base can show the most love to the Mission this season. 💙🦁

Neighbors helping neighbors. Real Help. Real Hope.
