This evening around 1700, Water Witch Fire Company was alerted for a marine assets to assist with a stranded boater on Rowland Island in the Susquehanna river. Boat 73 made the response and was first on scene to make contact. Units cleared and returned in service just before 1800.

Today, Water Witch Fire Company members sharpened their skills with Truck Operations training. The crew covered:

🪜 Strategic ladder placement
🚒 Truck equipment & fire ground operations

6-5-2026 15:16, Water Witch Fire Company along with units from Harford County, Baltimore County, Lancaster County, New Castle County, Cecil County DES and Maryland NRP made the response to a recreational water accident at WildCat Point. A unified Command was established by EMS Deputy 7. Dive Team Members from Middle River Fire and Rescue located the missing person who was pronounced deceased.

Water Witch Fire Company members recently participated in Grain Bin Rescue training at Robert Fulton Fire Co.

06/04/2026

06/04/2026 – Water Witch Fire Company was alerted for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment. The caller reported that a motorcyclist was pinned under the motorcycle and was not moving.

Deputy Chief 7 arrived on scene and established command. Rescue 72, Ambulance 791, Ambulance 792, CCDES Paramedic 1, and EMS 2 arrived shortly thereafter. Units on scene requested MSP Trooper 1 for patient transport.

Tanker 72 established the landing zone (LZ) at Station 72. Paramedic 792 transported the patient to Station 72 and completed the transfer of care to Trooper 1.
Units cleared the scene and returned to service at 07:40 hours.

05/30/2026

5/28/2026 18:10 Water Witch Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle fire in the area of Oakwood Rd, Box 707. EMS Deputy Chief 7 arrived and established command. The vehicle was found to have smoke coming from it, but the fire being extinguished. Deputy Chief 7, Engine 73, and Ambulance 791 arrived soon after.
The box was placed under control.
Unit cleared and returned to station 18:53.
