Coco is looking for a new home. Coco is a four year old neutered male Shih Tzu. He is a happy friendly dog that gets along with other dogs. Coco will require a fenced yard as he enjoys his walkabouts. His current owners health issues have forced his rehoming so we will be very careful about placing him. If interested in Coco, please complete an online application on our website LSAR.org

Happy , pals! Sweet Cowboy is looking for his forever person! He is believed to be a Border Collie/Poodle mix who is approximately three months old. This happy boy is very friendly and has already shown some working-dog tendencies. He's very focused on his person and has been spotted trying to herd the chickens and goats. Cowboy is a busy guy whose ideal forever home will be an active one, ready to provide plenty of exercise, mental stimulation and training. His coat will also require routine brushing and grooming to keep it healthy and maintained. If you’re looking for a wingman to go on adventures with, you really should meet Cowboy. He is available for adoption through Life Savers Animal Rescue. The rescue’s adoption application can be found at https://lsar.org/adopt.

We would like to introduce Radar. Radar was brought into Polson Animal Clinic with a paralyzed back end caused by a spinal injury that came about after a deer chase in the woods. His owner was unable to properly care for him as he, himself, was living in a camper van and working full time. He did his best but Radar had severe pressure sores and needed nursing care. His owner agreed to leave him at the clinic and pay for boarding ( which he did by working overtime) in hopes that Radar would regain his ability to walk. More than a month has passed and Radar is on his way to recovery and moving both back legs but still not completely mobile. His owner has reluctantly agreed that perhaps the best course going forward would be to find a foster home where Radar could continue to rehabilitate and then find him a new home as living in a camper van and 12 hour days is just not in his best interest.

Radar is the friendliest husky you will ever meet. He loves everyone!! He does talk, he is, after all, a husky🩷. He is going to require a foster that is able to work with him several times a day, getting him out and supporting his back end so he can move and get stronger. If you think this could be you, please contact us for more information. This handsome boy is waiting for his someone to help him move forward!!!

Harm is a 1 year old (approx), neutered male looking for his forever home. We think he is a Mal/Gsd mix, but will know for sure once his Embark comes back in a few weeks. Harm is a working dog with high drive therefore he will require a very experienced handler who will challenge him daily. Harm is neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines and learning basic obedience. Harm can play rough and is still learning dog etiquette so it would be best if he went to a home with no small children or elderly pets. He has not been cat or livestock tested yet. Harm is microchipped and fully vaccinated. He is a handsome friendly guy and will be the best canine companion to the right home! LSAR.org

Courtesy Listing

Mo is a sweet, athletic girl looking for a quiet, experienced home where she can finally settle in and thrive. She would do best with one or two adults and no children, cats, chickens, livestock, or other small/pocket pets. Mo is, however, great with other dogs and could be very happy sharing her home with the right canine companion. She absolutely loves getting outside and is a wonderful walking and hiking buddy. When the adventure is over, she’s equally happy curling up for cuddles with her people. Mo can be shy and protective, so she needs an experienced dog owner or someone comfortable giving her the patience, structure, and consistency she needs to feel secure. She is house-trained, crate-trained, leash-trained, microchipped, spayed, and up to date on her vaccinations. According to her DNA test, Mo is a German Shorthaired Pointer with a little Treeing Walker Coonhound. She’s about 50 pounds and has a beautiful black-and-white coat. Mo is affectionate, quirky, resilient, food-motivated, and incredibly lovable once she feels safe with you. She isn’t the right fit for every home, but in the right home, she has so much potential to be an amazing companion. Her adoption fee is negotiable - the priority is simply finding Mo a safe, loving, committed home where she can stay for good. Please complete an online application if you are interested in meeting Mo.

Ahhhh nothing we love better than a perfect match!!! Archie was in foster for less than two weeks when his future dad was sent his photo and bio. His future dad completed his application at 6am and waited impatiently to hear if his application had been approved. He got word at 7:30 am the next day and was in Missoula by 3 that afternoon to meet and pick up his new buddy. Archie, now Arc, spent his first weekend camping with his new pop. They have become inseparable and we are thrilled🩷

Leigh is a slender, graceful and happy dog, who enjoys playing with Lucky. She definitely looks like a border collie cross. She would really like to meet the cat inside the fence but not sure if is to chase her! She is friendly but no Velcro dog, and is going to make someone a great hiking companion. Leigh is a little older than Lucky, maybe 6 months or so. She too is dog friendly and not a barker! Leigh has an appointment next week for vaccinations and spay. She is available for adoption!
