Getting an early jump on the day. Mechannibalism and Zingbots are tuning their code. It was a late night for both teams, with Mechannibalism focusing on writing new code and Zingbots working on some mechanical issues.

Another win for Zingbots, but a TOUGH loss for Mechannibalism. Pool play is tough and often leads to one sided alliances. Mechannibalism’s partner in their second match accidentally descored their own goal and their opponents skillfully capitalized on it. Zingbots pulled off a win and earned the autonomous bonus in their second match. Great job kids, keep working hard!

34543M and Z waiting to hear the scores from their first match at the Speedway Signature Event(they WON 103-100). Qualifying rounds are like pool play in soccer and volleyball. Matches are completely random. The odds of Mechannibalism and Zingbots being partnered together for THE first match and at THIS event are CRAZY!!!!

Waking up to the sounds of coding. Let’s go get ‘em at Speedway!

The kids had a great time! Mechannibalism was ranked 10th out of 12, and Zingbots were 11th. Both teams did very well considering how early it is in the season and the teams that they were competing against. They’re making lists of what they need to improve, how much time it will take, and prioritizing based on that. We’re REALLY impressed with these teams. Oh…and Mechannibalism came from behind in eliminations and won the whole thing!
