An epic way to kick off summer with Troop 1776. Small boat sailing and sailing prep for our high adventure scouts. Learning “the ropes” on sailing, knots, safety (including purposely tipping the boat and flipping it back over). Also just a fun time of jumping off the docks and swimming in the lake!

Troop 1776 combined boys and girls Spring 2026 Court of Honor. So many amazing accomplishments since the last court of honor. Rank advancements, merit badges, Winter Camp, celebration of 2 new Eagles, and a hand off of Committee Chair.

Our two Eagles, Clayton Reining and Graham Mouden, it is wonderful to recognize and celebrate such an amazing accomplishment. congratulations your hard work and dedication. It has paid off.

Winter Camp one of the most anticipated campouts of the year brought lots of fun and merit completions and couldn’t be possible without the planning and dedication of our committee chair Bryan Bartel. He dutifully served as Committee chair from March 2023-2026 helping build a fantastic Leadership team that truly cares about the success of our scouts.

As Bryans chapter of committee chair ends we welcome in Jamie Brown as the new 2026 Committee Chair. Jaimie has a long standing relationship with the world of scouting, even serving as Pack 1776 committee chair. Welcome Jaime!

A perfect weekend to get out and go fishing! And they were BITING!

What is TTFC? Trail to First Class is a fantastic way for young scouts to work up to First Class. With focus on early requirements for Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class and finally First Class. The great thing is it’s right before normal troop meetings! On Sunday TTFC Scouts were able to hear from Officer LaRue on First Class requirement 9a. constitutional rights and obligations of a U.S. citizen.

Troop 1776 is thankful for the opportunity to do our campout at Blackland Prairie Raptor Center. Where our troop did conservation efforts, learned from professionals about the raptors, went hiking, enjoyed the sunshine and built community all only 30 minutes away! If you have the time its definitely a wonderful place to check out!

Snow Day! No meeting Sunday. Enjoying playing in the snow stay safe and warm!

Its the most wonderful time of the year! You know that means it’s Troop 1776 Winter Camp! Scouts had 4 session with a selection of 16 merit badges to sign up. Many Eagle required or just fun and interesting merits. also had opportunities to complete merits and ranks up. They were fed like kings by the adult leaders. Played games, built community and laughed a lot.
