After cancelling the event the last two years due to COVID-19, United Action CT will once again hold it's annual justice celebration. It is scheduled for Wednesday, June 15, 7:00 PM at Congregation Beth Shalom Rodfe Zedek, 55 East Kings Highway, Chester CT

As is our tradition we will be honoring individuals for their commitment to Social justice. This year we will be honoring Megan Fountain, Coordinator of Advocacy for Unidad Latina en Accion (ULA); Lizbeth Polo, community activist in New London; and Patricia Rosas, community organizer for UACT.

Our Guest Speaker this year is Reverend Josh Pawelek, minister at the Unitarian-Universlist Church East in Manchester. Rev. Pawelek has been a social-justice activist for many years and has been involved in many of the same issues that United Action has supported, including health care access for all, immigrant rights, domestic worker rights and HUSKY 4 immigrants.

Tickets are $20 and includes dinner, entertainment and our program. For more information and to order tickets please call Mark Kosnoff at 203-494-8526

We know - but does Governor Lamont?💪💪💪
🗣 We’re demanding that Governor Lamont create a $120 million Disaster Relief Fund for estimated 120,000 undocumented workers and families in Connecticut

The Governor knows what we are asking 👀, but his administration hasn’t responded to our demands! - so this week, we’re launching a tweet storm to make sure he hears us ✊🏽

Our undocumented community often works in jobs that are most exposed to the virus and the shutdown - we are the health care workers, grocery store workers, janitors, and restaurant and delivery workers who are working tirelessly to keep our communities safe and running.

But we have been cruelly left behind by most federal and state relief efforts. We need CT to stand up for immigrant families and workers!
