Plainville PAWS

We are looking for a fur-ever home for these two awesome dogs. The first dog is a 5-6 y/o black lab and the second dog is a 8-9 y/o Dalmatian hound mix. Spayed and neutered.

Both are up to date with all their shots. Both dogs do well with anyone once they know them including kids. We would like to keep them together as they’ve been together for approximately five years, but we are willing to split them up for the right situation.

Boxer fans! We need our PNE followers to do their magic!

We have a bonded pair of two 6-year-old boxer mixes, Ace & Charlie, that have found themselves in a tragic situation that requires them to be rehomed. They are wonderful boys who have spent their lives together living with kids and cats and have done fine with seeing other dogs through a barrier.

They are housebroken but will need some leash training since their previous home had a fenced in yard. Six is honestly a great age because they get it, they know what home life is like and they

They are beautiful boys who need to be adopted together and who deserve another chance with a wonderful home together. We would love to help Ace & Charlie so please like and share this post so these faces can find their way to their forever family. Tomorrow is the last day of the clothing drive. Please remember to bring down your clothes you'd like to donate so that we can continue to help the animals in need.

It's time to donate the old clothes to the Plainville PAWS clothing drive. Donations can be dropped off at the pound on Granger Lane, or even easier they can be dropped off at the PPD 19 Neal Crt, 24 hrs a day 7 days a week.

He's been spotted in the Wolcott/Southington area

🐾 WELCOME HOME, MAVERICK! 🐾

After several days on the run, Maverick is finally safe and back where he belongs — with his loving family. ❤️

A few sightings came in this morning, and with patience, teamwork, and the right approach, everything came together perfectly. Maverick’s grandmother went to the area where he had been seen and brought along her dog. They quietly sat down in a yard near the sightings and waited.

Slowly, Maverick emerged from the woods.

As he caught his grandmother’s scent, he cautiously approached. Then, in a moment that none of us will forget, he walked over and jumped right into her lap. 🥹❤️

A special thank you to CT Dog Gone Recovery Volunteer Debbie, who provided the family with excellent guidance on calming signals and the importance of remaining quiet, patient, and non-threatening. She emphasized dropping to the ground, staying calm, and allowing Maverick to make the choice to approach. The family listened, trusted the process, and it worked beautifully.

This successful recovery was truly a community effort.

🐾 Thank you to Brian for bringing out his drone and searching the area. This time of year presents unique challenges with heavy tree canopy cover, but he was able to thoroughly search the open tree farm areas.

🐾 Thank you to Mike and Aubrey for spending hours hiking and tracking. Aubrey certainly kept her nose to the ground and worked hard throughout the search.

Every share, every sighting report, every volunteer, and every supporter played a part in bringing Maverick home.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped and thrilled that this wonderful boy is safely back with the family who loves him.

This handsome boy left his yard and has not returned. Please check your home security cameras if you live in the area. He is friendly, but may be scared being out on his own. For his safety do not call out or chase.
