Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome on the race course. We just ask that dogs stay off turf areas and remain under their owner's control at all times.

🇺🇸🏍️ PROUD TO BE IN AMERICA RIDE 🇺🇸🏍️

This summer, one veteran is taking on an incredible journey along the entire length of Historic Route 66 to honor our nation’s heroes, celebrate America’s 250th birthday, and bring awareness to the invisible wounds many veterans carry every day.

Beginning June 28, 2026, at 8:00 AM, the ride will depart from Gearhead Curios in Galena, Kansas, traveling east to Chicago, then west to the Santa Monica Pier, before returning home to Southeast Kansas. This journey isn’t just about the miles, it’s about the message.

Too many veterans struggle in silence with PTSD, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and other service-connected conditions. Through this ride, we hope to start conversations, break stigmas, and remind our veterans that they are never alone. I’m currently working with a veteran in the Pittsburg area who is facing eviction on July 1. OTW was able to cover one month’s rent while we are actively working on his VA benefits claim, and his case is being expedited, but he is in immediate need of employment.

He is 61 years old, has a degree in Computer Science, and brings a wealth of life and professional experience. While his background is in technology, he is open to other types of work as well.

The VA officially launched a new program designed to keep veterans, who may be facing financial difficulties, stay in their homes. More Below 🔗⬇️

We are currently looking for approximately 4 volunteers to help with our annual Veterans Retreat this September.

Volunteer duties will include assisting with catering, helping set up and organize activities for the children, and creating a welcoming environment for our veteran families. Activities may include coloring, storytelling, crafts, games, or even helping supervise a movie.

We are also planning a special memorial display honoring the service members we have lost to su***de. This tribute is incredibly important to us, and we are looking for anyone who would be willing to help gather, organize, and set up the display. It is a meaningful way to remember those we have lost and ensure their stories are never forgotten.

If you are interested in volunteering your time or talents, we would be truly grateful for your support. Together, we can create a memorable and healing experience for our veterans and their families.
