📡✨📻 Now streaming on a new Living Classical with Tyler Kline: music about being fully present, and a spiral that creates a joyful feedback loop.

Emma O’Halloran’s Only Moments to Live is inspired by learning to be fully present in a fast-paced world, structured as a dance between saxophone soloist and ensemble: gestures are picked up and expanded, with improvisational sections where everyone must listen and respond.

Then: the movement of a spiral is usually depicted going downward, linked to anxiety and negative thought, but Ben Nobuto wanted to invert that. His Hope Spiral spirals upward instead, a euphoric feedback loop reflecting on how to renew joy and wonder so you can fall in love with the world over and over again.

Plus music by Anna Lapwood, Nicolás Lell Benavides, Arooj Aftab, Somei Satoh, Alex Temple, and more. Featuring performances by The Chapel Choir of Pembroke College Cambridge, Matthew Levy with Temple University Wind Symphony, Emi Ferguson, Anne Akiko Meyers, Alarm Will Sound, and others.

Listen and follow on Mixcloud, or at livingclassicalradio.com.

What an amazing week at Florida State University! 🎶✨

Huge thanks to the FSU College of Music for welcoming Khemia Ensemble for a fantastic week. We loved sharing a concert, working with student composers in a reading session, and visiting classes in music business, entrepreneurship, and music technology—plus some inspiring studio masterclasses.

We were blown away by the creativity and energy of the students. Thanks for the warm Tallahassee welcome—we can’t wait to be back!
