Hey everyone! Just a reminder, no races tomorrow. Final race of the series will be NEXT Sunday 11/1! We’ll be in touch this week to go over details.

10/18/2026

Good Morning Healthy Kids fam! Glad to be back this week!

Here’s all your reminders:

Theme: costume week! Make sure they are tasteful and the kids are able to run in them. Field might be slightly soggy in spots, keep that in mind also.

Treat trail: this is something unique to our series we created a few years ago. It’s always a fun little addition for the kids. *****here’s the important jnfo***** only kids registered for the whole series may go through and receive treats. (We have things counted out so we have just enough for those kids)
Your child must run their race FIRST, then they may enter the “trail”. Each kid must have their own bucket or bag. Each kid must have an adult with them to go through as well. This keeps things organized and helps us keep try so it doesn’t turn to chaotic. The trail will start by the registration table.

Lastly, huge thank you to our volunteer families!!!! We were able to purchase quite a few items, but without the families we couldn’t do it!! Be sure to give them a big thank you!!

As for the races:

Please arrive 15 mins or so prior to your child’s race so we can have them all lined up ready to go.

Have their bib on and filled up when you arrive.

As always we will do our very best to make sure everyone is in the correct order.

Cheer on all of the runners it really makes a difference!

This weeks races are brought to us by Musselman’s! Each child will receive a coupon for free applesauce!

Last but certainly not least. The Pitman fire department is expected to be out!!! They are always so supportive of our series and our kids, be sure to visit the truck and let your kid explore and meet these guys!!

Should be an awesome day!

Happy Friday everyone!!! Guess what??? It’s not supposed to rain Sunday!!!!!!!

Important details:

Our theme: costume week. Let your child dress in their costume! Just make sure it’s tasteful and they are able to run in it. Weather should be cool so keep that in mind.

We will have our treat trail! Here’s the deal:

Every child registered for the FULL season can go through the trail ONCE. AFTER they run their race. You will have to bring a bag or bucket to use, we will not have them. Also, each child needs an adult with them to go through, to keep and eye on them.

Huge thank you to: the DiPalma family, Leone Family, Kalitz family, Lott family, Garretson family, Navarro/Hill family, Shute family,Anderson family, and Izzi family!!! Without these families and items we will
Be providing we wouldn’t be able to do this for the kids! It’s a special thing we started a few years back.

Please if you’d like to be a part of passing items out we’d love more!!! We don’t have anyone giving, fruit, juice boxes, goldfish crackers, or anything you’d want to give out! Just let me know! The more families the more fun it’ll be for the kids!

I’ll be in touch tomorrow with race day reminders.

Update:

We are canceling today’s races… I can’t begin to tell you how frustrating it is. But it’s really coming down, and the fields are always soaked… it is not supposed to stop between now through the races…..

That being said we will go with our backup plan. We are adding a second rain date. The schedule going forward will be:

Next week 10/18- Halloween week! We will have our treat trail!!!

Then NO RACES on 10/25.

Final race day and medal day, 11/1!!!!

As
Always we appreciate everyone’s support! I’ll be in touch through the week.

All of my treat trail families, thank you!!!! If anyone else wants to join in, please reach out! We have 8 families volunteering so far! Room for more!

Let’s make the final two races amazing for the kids!

10/11/2026

Good morning everyone. As per usual, let’s give it a little more time to see what the day will bring us. It’s not so much the rain, as it is the amount of time the rain has been falling… the field just doesn’t hold the water well. As much as no one wants to be out there in the rain, we could make that work….. but the field being fully soggy with puddling is the biggest issue.

All that being said, it just doesn’t look good AGAIN… let’s give it more time to see if things play out the way they are predicting… I’ve checked 4-5 weather apps and sources and it all points to continued rain from now through the races, with downpours at times.

I’ve never seen a run like this before where we’ve had Big storm every single Sunday…. But i appreciate everyone’s support and understanding. That’s why IF we cancel today? We will build in a second rain date of 11/1.

Regardless we will hold our treat trail NEXt week!!! Huge thank you to the DiPalma family, Leone family, Kalitz family, Lott family, Garretson family, Navarro/Hill family, and Shute family so far!!!! If you want to be a part of creating the fun for the kids let me know!!!
IF we run today, just have the kids dress comfortable.

Stay tuned and I will update everyone in a little bit.

10/09/2026

Alright here we go…. Someone out there isn’t doing their ANTI rain dance!!!

Here’s the game plan. We worked with various parties to figure out a plan since it appears we are going to get “tropical rain storms”, on Sunday. We know the field doesn’t hold water too well….

IF, we are unable to hold our races AGAIN on Sunday… we will hold our final two races on 10/18 and 11/1.

IF we are able to run Sunday, we will end on 10/18.

We are going tom hold off on our treat trail until NEXT Sunday 10/18. So all of those amazing families who reached out to help, hold onto those goodies until next week.

I will continue to communicate with you guys through the next two days as we get closer to Sunday.

I’ve been doing this quite a few years down and we’ve never had a record of this many Sundays in a row with rain, and it many cases nor’easters or tropical storms.. etc.

If you want to be a part of our treat trail NEXT Sunday, please reach out to me. The more families the better!!!!

10/07/2026

Huge thank you so far to the Diplama family, Lott family (bringing pirate b***y), Leone family (bringing pretzels), and Kalitz family (glow sticks)!!!

So happy these families reached out so quickly!
If you are able and willing to help we can use all of the families and goodies we can for our treat trail!!!

Again we have about 75-80 kids, you’ll need to be available to pass them out immediately following the first race at 3:00. (Or have one family member to do so)

******* I can’t believe I’m having to say this….. if it turns out it’s raining we will push the treat trail to the following week, I will communicate that as we get closer***** however we will likely do everything possible to hold the races either way.

It’s always fun for the kids to be able to walk down the line getting as many little things as possible after their race.

Please reach out if you are willing and able to help out!

10/07/2026

Hey everyone! If you are able, can you please do an anti rain dance? Please? Not sure if anyone looked but it’s in the forecast for Sunday. 😂…. That being said I can’t see us canceling again, so let’s be prepared to go no matter what.

But we need your help!!! This weekend is our “Halloween” week. Let the kids dress up, as long as it’s safe to run in and tasteful. Have fun with it!

This also means our annual treat trail. It’s our take on a trunk or treat. We’ve been doing this for a few years now and it’s always a highlight. But…***We can’t do it without you!!!***. I need volunteer families to provide and pass out treat. You (or someone from your family) need to be able to pass out the treats starting immediately after the first race at 3:00 and continuing until after the last race (usually around 3:45ish).

Also, treats must be on the healthy side, (pretzels, goldfish crackers, apples, oranges, clementines, etc, gummies, fruit leathers, knick knacks, pirate b***y, etc etc.). We have about 75-80 kids right now.

The more families we get the better! We have some items that have already been purchased by myself and my family for the kids, but we need way more help to make this week.

The way it works:

Only kids registered to run the full series can partake.

Kids can go through AFTER they run their race.

You must bring your own bag or bucket.

Kids must have an adult with them to go through, and each child can only go through one time please.

Have fun!!

If you are able to help make this amazing and be a part, let me know asap please!
