DONATIONS NEEDED

HEY EVERYONE,

This is Barbie, she's a 4 to 6 year old German Shepherd who was rescued from a horrible situation.

We had her at our vet. During her exam they found that she had a enlarged uterus and needed emergency surgery to save her life.

Our vet said if she didn't get the care she needed she would have died in a week or two.

Barbie is such a beautiful and loving girl despite all that she's been through.

Her vet bill was very expensive.

Please if you're able to spare any amount.

Please consider making a donation.

Donations can be made through our website at www.hopeforalldogs.org
Or via our PayPal account at [email protected]

Thank you

Here's Barbie's freedom picture.

Barbie was just rescued from a horrible situation.

She's approximately a 4-6 year old German Shepherd and has lived her entire life outside in a pen on a chain.

She's never seen a vet and most likely is heartworm positive.

We are going to the vet Monday.

She slept the entire ride home.

She was introduced to Baxter and was not interested at this time.

That should change in a few weeks.

If you'd like to make a donation, you can go to www.hopeforalldogs.org or [email protected]

Thank you

Hopes story

Our Story
Hope for All Dogs is an all breed NO KILL Rescue. We rescue stray and unwanted dogs from high-kill shelters before they are euthanized. We focus on special needs dogs.

Hope's Story

My passion for creating Hope For All Dogs Rescue began after I rescued a 3 year old German Shepherd who had been brought to a vet to be euthanized because the owner used her strictly for breeding.

A friend of mine happened to be at the vets office at that time and called me immediately to ask if I could do something to prevent her from being put to sleep. When I got there my heart sank as I looked into her eyes and saw two things! One was the utter look of hopelessness, and the second was the incredible desire to want to fight to live!

I knew instantly I was going to do everything in my power to help this dog! When I went inside the kennel to get her out, her abdomen was so swollen that I had to pick her up and carry her. As I carried her out to my car she lifted her head and kissed my chin!

I rushed her to my own vet and when I got there they asked what her name was. I paused for a moment and said “Her name is Hope". I was told she needed to be brought to the University of North Carolina. The vet told me she needed a pace maker immediately and she may not survive the drive there. We arrived there late that same evening and she was brought in for a series of tests. Several hours later the head cardiologist came out to discuss her diagnosis. The prognosis was poor. She was in 4th stage heart failure, and she was too weak to undergo surgery. Her survival was unlikely.

Instead of surgery, they drained the fluid from her abdomen and placed her on several medications to help with her heart rate. Shortly after the consultation, one of the vet techs came out with Hope and I couldn't believe my eyes. They removed close to 20 pounds of fluid from her, and she was extremely emaciated and frail looking when I saw her.

We brought her home and Hope slowly regained her strength. She began acting like a healthy dog The first time I was able to see her run and play with the other dogs brought me such joy!

Hope remained on multiple medications and needed frequent drainage of the fluid n her abdomen. However, this once abused and neglected angel finally got to know what love meant.

Hope survived for 3 months. She passed away one night in her sleep. People criticized me by asking why I would spend so much money on a dog. Most people will not understand why I took in a dog that was so ill. My response is very simple. Even though Hope only lived for 3 months, those were probably the best 3 months of her life. I know they were mine!

Hence my rescue's name that there is truly "Hope For All Dogs"
