This past Sunday marked the third Sunday in a row that KUMC welcomed new members! This time, we were thrilled to welcome Rachel and Andrew, along with their children, into our KUMC family. What a beautiful sign of a growing church family! In the United Methodist tradition, membership is more than putting your name on a list. It is a commitment to grow in faith, worship together, serve others, and live out our faith in community.

Are you thinking about becoming a member? Or maybe you are simply curious and want to learn more about KUMC, the United Methodist Church, or what membership means? We would love to have you join us!

Join us tomorrow, Sunday, October 4, at 9 AM or 11 AM, in person or online, as we continue our message series “Why Do We Do What We Do?” Last week, we explored the first phrase of our church motto: KNOW CHRIST. Tomorrow, we turn to the second: SERVE.

Through the story of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10:25–37, we will look beyond simply what we do for others and ask a deeper question: Why do we serve? What does Jesus teach us about who our neighbor is, what love looks like in action, and what it means to serve from the heart?

Discover why SERVE is at the heart of who we are as a church. Tomorrow is Communion Sunday. If you are joining us online, please have your elements ready.

Know Christ. Serve Christ. Share Christ.

All Hands on Deck for the KUMC Pumpkin Patch!
Our 2026 KUMC Pumpkin Patch is almost here, and we need volunteers to help unload and sell pumpkins! For more than 29 years, this volunteer-led tradition has brought pumpkins, smiles, and the love of Christ to our neighbors and community. Some who came to the Pumpkin Patch as children are now bringing their own children.

This past Sunday, we welcomed Vince as our newest KUMC member! He stepped into that commitment in a grand way by taking the reins of our annual Pumpkin Patch, a beloved tradition brought to life by the hands and hearts of our amazing volunteers.

In the United Methodist Church, membership is more than adding your name to a list. It is a commitment to grow in faith, worship in community, serve others, and live out our calling together. It is about putting faith into action and becoming part of the life and ministry of the church.

We are so grateful to have Vince take this step with us, and we are excited to see how God will use his gifts as part of our KUMC family.

Thinking about becoming a member? We would love to walk that journey with you. Please contact Pastor Ruben to learn more at [email protected] or call our office at 305-667-0343.

Welcome, Vince! We are blessed to have you!
