We come with sad news today. Yesterday our beloved Sabre crossed over Rainbow Bridge. It was very sudden. The vet discovered that he had a cancerous mass that was pressing on a blood vessel making it bleed into his abdomen.
Sabre has given so much to so many at Anchorage Farm. We are so grateful that Sabre's previous mom, Lindsay Greenway donated him to our program. Sabre took care of the youngest riders and challenged the more experienced. He reigned supreme over any other in the turn out paddocks as he was always a bit bossy or as we would hear in today's nomenclature, "he firmly established and maintained his boundaries" with other horses. 😊
I will always remember how his eyes brightened anytime I walked up to him and how he would let me kiss his muzzle and nestle my forehead to his. He will be remembered with much love and appreciation. He was truly a one-of-a-kind horse. We love you dearly, Sweet Sabre
