Both Flag Day and the United States Army Birthday are observed on June 14th, and in 2026, the U.S. Army is observing its 251st anniversary. Both observances share the day because the Continental Congress adopted the American flag in 1777 and officially established the U.S. Army in 1775.

πŸ’™ What Makes a Military Mom Strong? πŸ’™

Military moms and grandmothers often discover strengths they never knew they had.

Strength is finding the courage to say goodbye when your heart wants to hold on.

Strength is trusting your son, daughter, grandson, or granddaughter to follow their dreams while navigating your own worries and fears.

Strength is learning patience during deployments, resilience during challenges, and gratitude during reunions.

Strength is celebrating milestones from miles away and finding comfort in the military family community that understands the journey.

Military moms and grandmothers develop many qualities along the way:

⭐ Resilience when facing uncertainty

⭐ Courage during deployments and separations

⭐ Faith in difficult moments

⭐ Adaptability as military life changes plans

⭐ Pride in watching their loved ones serve something greater than themselves

⭐ Compassion for other military families walking the same path

⭐ Hope that carries them through each goodbye until the next homecoming

The journey is not always easy, but military moms and grandmothers continue to show up with love, strength, and unwavering support.

Today, we celebrate the remarkable women whose strength helps sustain our military families and supports those who serve our nation.

What trait has military life strengthened most in you?
