I read an article today about what it means to be a supportive parent in competitive youth sports, and it reminded me of something we don’t talk about enough…

Youth sports aren’t just about developing better athletes. They’re about developing better people.

Yes, families face financial barriers. That’s why YouGotNext exists.

But every child also deserves parents who encourage them, coaches who teach them, and adults who remember that the game belongs to the kids.

Success shouldn’t only be measured by wins, championships, or scholarships. It should also be measured by confidence gained, friendships built, lessons learned, and the love of the game that lasts long after the final whistle.

At YouGotNext, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to play in an environment that helps them grow—not just as athletes, but as people.

Talent is everywhere. Access is not.

We noticed we’ve had quite a few new people join our community lately, so we wanted to take a moment to reintroduce ourselves.

Hi! We’re YouGotNext Empowerment Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to breaking down financial and systemic barriers that keep kids from participating in youth sports and educational opportunities.

To us, it’s never just about paying a registration fee or buying a piece of equipment. It’s about giving a child the opportunity to make friends, build confidence, learn resilience, and create memories that can last a lifetime.

Over the past year, we’ve been honored to help families who simply needed someone to say, “We’ve got you.”

But there are still so many kids waiting for that opportunity.
