The Pine Area Lions club started as a Lioness Club on March 14, 1983 at a meeting open to the public. On September 17, 1992, we became a Lions Club.

💜📚 Book Recycling Drive Update 📚💜

♻️ Remember our children’s book recycling drive? It paid off in a big way! ♻️

Thanks to everyone who donated gently used books, we were able to deliver a wonderful collection today to the Dragon Wagon for their Summer Kick-Off Event held this morning at Robinson Park! 🚍☀️

These books will now help spark joy and learning for children all summer long as the Dragon Wagon visits community events, local childcare centers, parks, and more—putting stories directly into the hands of young readers across our community 💛📖

A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who donated and helped make this possible. Your generosity is helping grow a love of reading right here in our community.

🌈☀️ Today's the Day! ☀️🌈

Looking for a fun way to spend your Sunday morning? There's still time to join the Pine Area Lions 5K Color Fun Run at Robinson Park!

Grab your family, friends, neighbors, and even the stroller, and come enjoy a morning filled with color, fun, and community spirit. Whether you're a walker, jogger, runner, or just looking for a fun activity for the kids, we've got something for everyone!

🦁 Event Schedule:
🚶 Walkers start at 9:00 AM
🏃 Runners start at 9:30 AM
🧒 Cub Run starts at 10:00 AM

🎨 Wear a white shirt and get ready for lots of colorful fun at our color stations throughout the course!

Plus, participants can enjoy goodie bags and everyone will have a chance to win some great raffle prizes following the event.

Registration is available on-site, so come on out and join the fun!

🌈🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ There's Still Time to Join the Fun! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🌈

Dust off those running or walking shoes, grab the strollers, and gather your family and friends for the Pine Area Lions 5K Color Fun Run this Sunday at Robinson Park!

Whether you want to walk, jog, or run, this event is all about having fun while getting active. We'll have plenty of colorful powder stations along the route, so be sure to wear a white shirt and get ready to be covered in color!

Registration will be available at the event, making it easy to join the fun.

Kids will have a blast too! Participants can enjoy running through the park, receive a goodie bag, and everyone will have a chance to win some great raffle prizes that will be given away after the event.

Come out for a morning of color, laughter, exercise, and community fun. We can't wait to see you there!

🦁 Pine Area Lions June Meeting Recap 🦁

We had a wonderful June meeting this week filled with great food, fellowship, and fun!

During the meeting, we discussed and approved donations and we went over committee updates, including a recap of our successful Father Daughter Dance we had in May. We also talked about final preparations for our upcoming 5K Fun Run, happening this Sunday. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

A special welcome goes out to our newest member, Lion Lori, who was inducted into the club this week. Her sponsor is Lion Clarice. We're excited to have you join our Lions family!

We also introduced and inducted our 2026–2027 Board and are looking forward to another outstanding year of service, leadership, and Lionism in the Pine City area.

Today, the Pine Area Lions pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives while serving our country.

Their sacrifice, courage, and dedication will never be forgotten. As we spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, we also reflect with gratitude on the freedoms we enjoy because of those who served.
