Pine City BackPack Program

As this school year comes to an end, and the last deliveries were made, I want to say THANK YOU! Thank you to the volunteers who help weekly with bagging and deliveries. The community members who donate food and money to keep the program afloat. To everyone who gets bags handed out to the kids. THANK YOU! To my family- thank you for the support and grocery carrying over the years.

Next year there will be new program leaders and I cannot thank them enough for keeping the program going! Christy and Sue, THANK YOU!

The BackPack Program is looking for a new program runner to take the baton starting next school year!

This program is currently supplying 70 children per weekend with food in our community. Please consider this opportunity to help keep the program available to our children and successful!

I would like to say THANK YOU to the volunteers and community members who continue to support the BackPack Progam! This program is off to another great year and I appreciate each and every one of you!

We are currently delivering 66 bags of food weekly to kids in our community. As we go into the holiday season, we are looking for donations of pudding cups, fruit cups and juice boxes. These can be dropped off at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.

School is right around the corner, and the BackPack program will be in its 11th year of supporting our students with food for weekends, and long school breaks. Last year over 1600 bags of food were delivered.

This program is not possible without the help of volunteers, and support from our communty members, and businesses. Please see the comments for our most needed food items. Donations can be brought to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Lastly, I am looking for volunteers to help with this great program. Please reach out for more information or to see how you can help.

Thank you so much for the continued support of the Pine Area Lions!

We were able to get together with Lion Jenah this week whom is also a HUGE asset to the Backpack Program! We presented Lion Jenah with a $1000 check to help continue the Backpack Program in Pine City.

We are happy to help and support this great program!

Please watch their FB site as you can often times find what they need for monthly donations. But CASH donations always help!

Another shout out and thank you to Lion Jenah for all that she does for our community!

If anyone has plastic bags they are willing to part with, we could sure use them!

Over 60 bags going out to kids each weekend, and our supply is almost gone. Donations can be brought to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Placed in the donation bin or on the steps. Questions, let me know!
