We are so excited to announce the creation of our new Health and Wellness Center for the community. Thank you to the Diane and Bruce Halle Foundation and UnitedHealthcare for providing the resources to make this happen! We will be focusing on classes that reduce stress and provide healing to the whole person. We will be looking for partners to provide free classes and workshops - everything from sound healing to yoga as soon as construction is completed.

This year, we are proud to celebrate 43 years of serving Phoenix families. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

What began as a grassroots effort in the 1960s, with local churches and synagogues coming together to help neighbors facing hard times, has turned into something so much bigger! But that initial spirit of unity and compassion still defines who we are today.

Over the decades, NourishPHX has grown alongside our community, expanding services, welcoming new partners, and adapting to meet changing needs. Through economic downturns, rapid growth in our city, and even a global pandemic, this mission has remained steady. More than 1 million people have been served over the past 43 years, a milestone made possible by volunteers, donors, and supporters who believe in caring for their neighbors.

43 years is a long time, and more importantly, that number represents generations of compassion, countless volunteer hours, and a community that continues to show up for one another.

Thank you for being part of our story and for helping us carry it forward! 💚

There is something truly special about Evelyn’s warmth and spirit!

A Phoenix native, Evelyn now enjoys her retirement while living independently and staying active in her community. She visits NourishPHX to help supplement her income with fresh vegetables, fruits, bread, and her Senior Food Box, which helps her maintain a healthy routine and peace of mind.

One of her favorite parts of coming to NourishPHX is attending classes. She loves learning something new and says each visit feels like an adventure because she meets new people every time. Most of all, she appreciates being treated with dignity and respect whenever she walks through our doors.

Because of your generosity, neighbors like Evelyn have access to nutritious food, meaningful programs, and a welcoming community.

Thank you, Evelyn, for sharing your story and for being a light to others. And thank you to the NourishPHX family for helping us create a place where everyone feels seen and valued.

Some items needed include: bath and body supplies, purses, hair accessories, perfume/body sprays, essential oils, jewelry, or anything that a mom may enjoy on or before April 30.

Last year, we packed more than 600 handbags, so let's show all the moms how much we appreciate them!

Happy Earth Day! 🌎

Did you know NourishPHX partners with the Grant Park Community Garden? It's true! It's one of the ways we celebrate caring for our planet each month.

Once a month, on the third Saturday, volunteers come together to plant seeds, prepare soil boxes, pull weeds, and tend the space that helps our garden flourish. It is hands in the dirt, sunshine on your back, meaningful work that connects people to the earth and to each other. 🌞

The fresh produce grown in our garden goes straight into the food boxes we distribute to families across Phoenix, so it truly is farm-to-table, grown with care and shared with purpose.

We have seen so many new faces here lately, and we just want to say welcome. We are really glad you are here! 😊

For those who may be learning about NourishPHX for the first time, we are a Phoenix nonprofit that has been serving the working poor since the 1960s. Formerly known as ICM Food and Clothing Bank, we have grown into a trusted community hub where individuals and families can access food, clothing, and other essential resources, all in one place.

We are a small staff, a volunteer board, and an incredible group of daily volunteers, including working moms and dads, teens, retirees, and neighbors who believe in showing up for others. Together, we help stock the food pantry, organize the clothing closet, and connect people to additional services like jobs, workshops, vaccinations, and community partnerships. Every person who walks through our doors is met with dignity and respect.

If you are here because you are looking for support, we are here for you! If you are here because you want to give back, there is a place for you in our story, too. Through one meal, one item of clothing, one act of kindness at a time, we are building hope in Phoenix.

Say hello to Roberto!

His story is inspiring and one of resilience and starting again.

Roberto has spent his life caring for others, as a Marine, a firefighter, and a chef who built a career around feeding people well. After surviving serious health challenges and a life-changing accident that brought him to Arizona, and he found himself rebuilding in ways he never expected.

Today, he is working toward steady employment and stable housing, taking steps forward one day at a time. He walks across town to visit NourishPHX, where he receives food and support and is always greeted with respect and a smile from our team. He shares that being here feels like part of his new beginning, and he encourages others to reach out when they need help.

Stories like Roberto’s remind us that strength and struggle can exist in the same chapter. Because of your donations and support, neighbors like Roberto have access to healthy food, essential items, and a community that believes in their next step.
