Boy Scout Troop 531 - Phoenix, AZ We are a 'Boy Empowered" Troop with over 60 boys and over 30 leaders. We meet on Monday nights at 7pm at Valley Life Church in North Phoenix.

Troop 531 Senior Patrol Leader, Arden, along with his dad Wes — our Troop Chaplain — had the honor of speaking with Channel 12 News about a very special opportunity for our Scouts and families. 🎥

They shared what it means to lead the opening flag ceremony and take part in placing flags at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona — a powerful tradition that honors the brave men and women who served our country. 🫡

We are incredibly proud of Arden, Wes, and all of our Scouts who continue to demonstrate leadership, service, and respect for those who made the ultimate sacrifice. ❤️🤍💙

🇺🇸 Honoring Those Who Served 🇺🇸

Troop 531, alongside Cub Scout Pack 531- Phoenix, AZ, had the honor of leading the opening flag ceremony at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona before the annual tradition of placing flags on gravemarkers.

Following the ceremony, Scouts and their families worked together to place flags in remembrance of the brave men and women—and their loved ones—who have served our country and now rest there. ❤️🤍💙

This is one of the most meaningful traditions we are privileged to take part in each year, reminding us of the true spirit of service, sacrifice, and gratitude.

🎖️ Troop 531 Spring Court of Honor 🌟

Troop 531 held an incredible Spring Court of Honor, masterfully led by our Master of Ceremonies, Aksh*t 👏

Our Scouts earned an impressive number of merit badges 🏅 and celebrated major milestones, with several advancing in rank—including a couple of new Life Scouts and THREE Eagle Scouts honored 🦅🇺🇸 What an achievement!

We also recognized Scouts who took on the challenge at the Flagstaff Extreme Adventure Course 🌲💪, and awarded several of Troop 531’s exclusive Legend Awards ⭐

💜Also, we had a very special award given out tonight to Ian, our former Senior Patrol Leader. Mr Hunker, a Commander from the Military Order of the Purple Heart, presented Ian with the National Scouting Leadership Award. What an honor!🇺🇸

To top it off, Darik walked away with a $50 Amazon gift card 🎁 after earning raffle points through merit badges, camping nights, and service hours—way to go!

🛠️ Troop 531 Service Weekend at Camp Geronimo 🌲

This past weekend, Troop 531 put in some serious work giving back at Camp Geronimo!

🏕️The Scouts spent the morning assembling tents across the west-side campsites, showing teamwork and efficiency. After lunch, they headed up to Staff Hill where they tackled a big job—clearing out two-year-old construction debris left behind from the staff cabin remodels.

Before heading home, the crew also made sure Campsite 16 was ready for future campers by setting up cots in every tent.

We’re proud of these Scouts for stepping up, working hard, and living out what it means to be servant leaders. 💪
