📖This is going to be fun. Join us to hear from local author Alfred O’Neill, whose newest book, “Funeral of Lies”, was included in The Inquirer’s recommended Spring reads (swipe left).

And if that doesn’t pique your interest, what about this snippet from O’Neill’s website? “Framing my life and writing is the fact that my father was a con man and mob money launderer who used his wages to pay for my very upright Quaker education, which emphasized a principled life. My natural tendency to embrace contradictions starts there and falls across all my writing.
Life was filled with wiretaps, FBI agents, and, finally, my father’s fall from grace and his federal trial. Moral ambiguity and redemption are very personal themes.”

Still not sure? What about the fact that this book is a Philly-based psychological thriller inspired by Joe Egan’s run for Mayor in the 90s! 📖
✨Due to potential inclement/warm weather, event will be held indoors. We look forward to seeing you Saturday!!!✨

📣Special Event Announcement! In addition to the program on Saturday, May 2nd @ 10:30 am, Quintessence Theater will be presenting The Owl and the P***y Cat this Thursday, April 30th @ 10:30 am. 🎭

Quintessence Theater Presents - The Owl and the P***y Cat

You are warmly invited to the wedding of the Owl to the P***y Cat, as they dance under the light of the moon and eat from a runcible spoon. Wander with the table and the chair as they go for a pleasure stroll into town, and can’t find their way home after dark. Meet the four little children who bought a green-spotted boat to travel the world, with only a small cat to steer it and a Quangle Wangle to cook their food. Through the poetry and imagination of Edward Lear we will take you on a world-wide voyage complete with anthropomorphic animals, fantastical creatures and whimsical limericks for some unforgettable nonsense.

Hope to see you at one or both of these special productions! Groups MUST call ahead to reserve space.
