Dr. Daskalakis, Chief Medical Officer of Callen-Lorde — one of the nation’s leading LGBTQ+ health centers, which opened the nation’s first community-based HIV clinic — will receive the inaugural Carlota Ttendant Award at Black-Tie GayBINGO! on October 3.

Named for legendary GayBINGO! hostess Carlota Ttendant, who brought joy, community, and purpose to the event for 30 years, the award recognizes individuals who carry forward that spirit of service and resilience.

Forty years after Philadelphia volunteers created what is now Action Wellness in response to the AIDS crisis, the organization continues that legacy through Black-Tie GayBINGO!, bringing people together through drag, laughter, dinner, dancing, and community in support of people affected by HIV.

Join us as we celebrate how far we’ve come and help sustain critical services for people living with or at risk of HIV. From New York City? Make it a night out! Philly is an easy train ride away, with special-rate rooms still available at the Loews for a limited time.
