We are stronger together, always.

This Saturday, join your local pride organizations as we stand in unity to publicly continue the fight for q***r rights, freedoms, and safety.

If anything, our recent post about giving away free school supplies (which apparently really upsets the homophobes) shows us that partnerships among our q***r organizations is necessary.

If you’d like to join and represent Pflugerville, we’d love to have you!

Let's show these wonderful, dedicated volunteers that we are so appreciative of their contributions to our organization and community.

Meet Amor! 🌈
🏳️‍🌈 My Role: Pride After Dark Chair
💬 My Pronouns: She/Her
🌟 My Favorite Thing About Pride: Having met, and made friends with, some really amazing people! We get to interact and hang out with a bunch of cool and fun people- it's always a good time!
🤩 My Saturday Night Looks Like: Either checking out live music and dancing around or snuggled up at home with all my fur babies watching movies or true crime shows.
🏆 My Q***r Icon: RuPaul because they're pfierce, pfabulous, and a badass!
🫶 My Favorite Pride Memory: I remember walking around the 2nd Pflugerville Pride festival to check out the vendors and just seeing so many people, adults and children, in rainbow colors with big smiles on their faces having a good time and it made me so happy and proud to be a small part of creating that atmosphere.
🎉 My Why: I once opened my home to a teen who got kicked out of their house because they came out as gay. This teen was one of the sweetest people you will ever meet and I was so happy to help them! It breaks my heart that this kind of thing happens so I hope more visibility and education will help families be more accepting and understanding.

🌟 My Favorite Thing About Pride: Being able to find friends and create a space for people to be who they are.
🤩 My Saturday Night Looks Like: Being either at home reading, or playing video/board games with friends.

🫶 My Favorite Pride Memory: New Orleans Pride 2019 - I was in the city for a convention and didn't know Pride was going on. Spur of the moment decided to go to the parade with some new friends I'd made and had an amazing time watching the parade (and New Orleans knows how to do a parade) then going out after for amazing food and drinks!
🎉 My Why: Community - being able to find and create a loving, welcoming and inclusive community for everyone in the LGBTQ+ community, to be who they are and how they want to be - Something so many people of my generation and older never had - and to stop us from taking steps backwards.

🫶 My Favorite Pride Memory: I remember the first pride event I went to was a meet and greet at Pflugerville lake, I was extremely nervous to say the least, but everyone was so warm and welcoming. It was so comforting to be around so many q***r adults who were only there to support each other and have a good time. I felt my inner child instantly healing, I want others to experience that feeling too!
🎉 My Why: My why is for the person who is trying to make new friends but feels too shy, the person who was always told they were too loud or just too much! We all have a place and when I found my place with Pf Pride it really opened me up as an individual, and I want to share that with others who are looking to blossom into the person they know they can be!

Meet Nicole! 🌈
🏳️‍🌈 My Role: Treasurer
💬 My Pronouns: She/Her
🌟 My Favorite Thing About Pride: Watching the celebration of people being able to be who they are born to be.
🤩 My Saturday Night Looks Like: Being home either baking and watching true crime, sitting on the couch in my pj's, reading a book about vampires, or hanging out talking nonsense with friends.
🏆 My Q***r Icon: David Bowie
🫶 My Favorite Pride Memory: At the first Pf Pride, I saw a child from my church and he told his mom after that he was so excited to see me because he knew then that he had a safe person to express himself to as needed. He also told her "of all the people at church I knew it would be Nicole" and that almost made me cry when I heard it.
🎉 My Why: iI was able to marry the love of my life because a very brave couple challenged the law banning in*******al marriage. Their courage allowed my life to happen, the very least I can do to honor their memory and courage is to help others find the same happiness.
