We wanted inform you that we spotted a small blue shark in the dog park on Sunday afternoon! We have identified the shark as a 20 year old female named Oreo. Scientists have yet to confirm, but we suspect she is a rare dwarf shark hybrid between a Beagle and Boston Terrier as seen by her classic black and white face and adorable floppy ears. Despite her age, she is quite spry and made a swift getaway. If you encounter this sweet little shark, it is important to be aware of her friendly demeanor, her zealous attitude towards fetch, and her relentless purpose to spread love and happiness.

World Statistics Day
As a ‘Cause’ holiday, World Statistics Day focuses on advocacy and education rather than commercial deals. Organizations like the United Nations Statistical Commission and various national statistical offices promote free educational resources, webinars, and open data initiatives. Universities and research institutions often host public lectures and data challenges. Look for opportunities to donate to organizations like the American Statistical Association or the Royal Statistical Society, which support statistical research and education. We will update this page with confirmed live events and educational programs as October 20 approaches.
