Behind every full wildlife water catchment is a dedicated volunteer willing to go the extra mile.

Our Water for Arizona’s Wildlife volunteers travel rough roads, navigate remote terrain, and spend countless hours ensuring water is available for elk, deer and countless other species that depend on these critical water sources to survive Arizona’s dry conditions.

To every volunteer who loads tanks, checks catchments, fills water systems, and helps keep Arizona’s wildlife hydrated—thank you. Your hard work makes a real difference for wildlife across our state.

What a night! Thank you to everyone who joined us at the White Mountain Chapter Banquet in Show Low this past weekend. Your support helps make Arizona Elk Society’s mission possible—from improving wildlife habitat and protecting water sources to connecting youth with the outdoors and serving our veterans.

A huge thank you to our donors, sponsors, and volunteers who worked behind the scenes to make the evening a success. Events like this simply wouldn’t happen without your generosity and dedication.

And a very special thank you to All Mountain RV in Show Low. When we discovered a broken spring on our trailer, their team jumped into action and got us back on the road in no time. We are incredibly grateful for their outstanding service and willingness to help when we needed it most.

Thank you, White Mountains, for another great banquet. We look forward to seeing you at the next Arizona Elk Society event! 🦌

When a ZOF member draws, it’s more than a tag — it’s proof that the system delivers. The Drawn For Adventure Award is our way of honoring those members who’ve successfully drawn and gone on hunts.

Arizona Elk Society volunteers are the heart of everything we do.

Whether you’re helping restore wildlife habitat, protecting and developing water sources, mentoring youth in the outdoors, or supporting our veterans through outdoor experiences, your time and dedication make a lasting impact across all four pillars of our mission.

A special congratulations to Troy M., the winner of our June 1 Volunteer Raffle! Thank you, Troy, and thank you to every volunteer who helps make our work possible.

Interested in getting involved? We’d love to have you join us on an upcoming project or event. Visit ArizonaElkSociety.org to learn more about volunteer opportunities and help us conserve Arizona’s hunting heritage for future generations.

This Saturday, June 6 is Arizona Free Fishing Day! 🎣

No fishing license is required, making it the perfect opportunity to introduce a youngster, friend, or family member to the outdoors through fishing.

Experiences like these help build the next generation of conservationists by creating a connection to Arizona’s wildlife, waters, and outdoor traditions.

Whether you’re fishing a community pond, mountain lake, or attending one of the many Free Fishing Day events happening around the state, it’s a great way to spend time outdoors and make lasting memories.

For information on Free Fishing Day events, places to fish, regulations, and other resources, visit AZGFD.com/fishing and get outside on June 6!
