🌟 Volunteer Spotlight: Meet Isabel!

Isabel is a student at Pensacola Christian College and has been volunteering at Waterfront Rescue Mission since August. She currently serves four mornings a week as a teaching assistant in our Alpha Class, part of the Cornerstone Program.

After learning about the opportunity through her church, she felt called to serve women in need.💙

Her advice for anyone considering volunteering? Just show up! Ask questions, and our team will help you find your place to serve.

🎥 Watch Isabella share her experience and why she encourages others to get involved!

We started off the week worried about our food supply at the Pensacola Mission. But God provides!
We have received several calls since yesterday morning from businesses and local churches who plan to help with food, including our friends at Classic City Catering, who dropped off 15 trays of food for today's meals. 🙏 Pictured is Jeff from Classic City Catering with Waterfront's Mark Isbell.

Thank you to our neighbors who continue showing up!

A big THANK YOU to Florida Power & Light for going above and beyond for our community! 💙

FPL crews have been working around the clock to restore power since the storm, and today, they took their commitment to our community one step further!

They generously provided a delicious meal from Sonny's BBQ - 9th Ave Pensacola for our guests and team at the Pensacola Mission. 🍽️

We’re also grateful for the wonderful volunteers from multiplypensacola who stepped in to help with food preparation and serving!

Thank you to FPL, Sonny's, Multiply Church, and everyone showing up for our community during this time of recovery. Your kindness and generosity mean so much! 🙌

💙 Community Partners Making a Difference! 💧

A special THANK YOU to Opening Doors Northwest Florida for delivering several boxes of bottled water to help care for the men and women staying at Waterfront Rescue Mission!

As we continue recovering from Hurricane Isaias, acts of kindness like this remind us how blessed we are to have community partners who step up when it matters most.

Opening Doors has been an ever-present partner in our community, working alongside organizations like Waterfront to serve our neighbors experiencing homelessness and the COC lead agency. Their commitment to helping those in need extends far beyond moments of crisis, and we are grateful for their continued partnership.

Thank you for being a faithful community partner and for helping us care for our neighbors during this challenging time! 💙🙏

Sunday, October 11 | Mission Update

Our Pensacola Mission remains CLOSED as we continue working to restore water service following Hurricane Isaias.

We are actively working with ECUA to resolve the issue and restore essential services so we can safely reopen our doors to the neighbors who depend on us.

We know that every night without access to shelter creates additional challenges for those we serve. Our team is working diligently to resume operations as soon as it is safe.

We are grateful for God's continued protection and provision, and we ask for your continued prayers for our staff, our guests, and everyone in our community still recovering from the storm.

Thank you for your patience, prayers, and support. We will share additional updates as soon as more information becomes available. 🙏💙

❤️ Faith in Action. Community in Action.

Less than 24 hours after Hurricane Isaias, an incredible group of volunteers from Rise Church showed up at our Mobile Mission with willing hearts, helping hands, and dinner for all our guests!

While our community continues to recover from the storm, these volunteers reminded us what it means to be the hands and feet of Christ. Their willingness to serve, especially in the aftermath of a hurricane, is a beautiful example of loving our neighbors through action.

Thank you, Rise Church, for taking the time to serve our neighbors, sharing a meal, and reminding each person who walked through our doors that they are seen, valued, and loved.

We are grateful for ministry partners who show up when it matters most! 💙
