Shoutout to Michelle at the Florida Department of Health (DOH) for putting together an evening of purpose at Bright Bridge Ministries for Revive Awareness Day 2026.

Community members and community partners came together to share stories, resources, and hope. Service providers answered important questions about overdose response, available resources, and who to call in different situations. That knowledge is critical—knowing how to navigate a crisis can truly be the difference between life and death.

Big O Susan spoke from the heart about the loss of her son, Travis Bishop, and how her grief has been transformed into a mission to help others. Her story was a powerful reminder of why this work matters and the lives that continue to be impacted by the overdose crisis.

Thank you to Michelle, Bright Bridge Ministries, and everyone who attended for creating a meaningful evening focused on education, awareness, and connection. Together, we continue building a community that shows up for one another.

The community can do it.

Tomorrow, our community will come together to remember those we've lost, support those still fighting, and remind one another that recovery is possible.

Revive Awareness Day is more than an event—it's a chance to put faces to the statistics, hear powerful stories of hope and resilience, and strengthen the connections that help save lives every day.

We are especially proud that our own Susan Bishop, co-founder of Offentsive, will be sharing the story of her son, Travis Bishop, who was taken by a fentanyl-poisoned Xanax pill. Through unimaginable loss, Susan has transformed grief into purpose, helping build a movement dedicated to reducing overdose, homelessness, and human trafficking throughout Northwest Florida.

The evening will also feature community leaders, advocates, and mental health professionals speaking on prevention, recovery, and the importance of standing together in the fight against the overdose crisis.

Yo Yo! We had a very enlightening trip to Port St. Lucie for a fireside chat with community leaders and advocates focused on recovery residences, patient brokering, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and current as well as proposed legislation affecting recovery communities across Florida.

One of the most impactful parts of the day was hearing directly from the State Attorney and a patient brokering investigator about the realities they encounter involving unethical recovery housing practices and the exploitation of individuals seeking help. These conversations are important because protecting people in recovery requires accountability, transparency, and strong community partnerships.

The event also included a presentation from the Florida Association of Recovery Residences (FARR) on quality standards for recovery housing and a panel discussion covering Florida's current patient brokering laws and proposed legislative changes for the upcoming session. The dialogue highlighted how these issues affect providers, residents, and the communities we serve.

A huge shoutout to Yamila, the Florida Harm Reduction Collective Inc, and Yaya por Vida Foundation for the invitation and hospitality. They even sent us home with a generous supply of Revive Naloxone 3mg and test strips to help us continue our life-saving outreach efforts back here in Northwest Florida.

We believe education, harm reduction, ethical recovery housing, and community collaboration all have a place at the table. The more we learn and work together, the stronger our recovery communities become.

Yo Yo! Big shoutout to everyone we've encountered along the Blackwater Heritage Trail and the surrounding areas. The love from the community has been something special. From recreational bikers stopping to chat, to people pulling their cars over to thank us for what we're doing and even snapping pictures, it reminds us that this community really does care.

That kind of support adds a whole new level of meaning to the work. It lets us know we're on the right trail.

And a huge shoutout to Opening Doors Northwest Florida for sponsoring our Outreach Angels with e-bikes. Our outreach engagement has literally doubled while cutting our travel time in half. We're able to connect with more people on the trail and still have time to reach other areas of the community the very same day. We didn't know how much we needed them until we had them.

If you've ever wanted to make a real difference and help individuals facing homelessness, mental health challenges, or substance use, we'd love to have you. Whether it's joining the Outreach Angels, the GOAT Team, Camp Team, or another volunteer role with Offentsive, sign up and we'll reach out to schedule your orientation and training.

We have been outside, we will be outside. If you come outside, you'll see we outside.

The community can do it. ❤️🖤

The Stigma. The whispers. The judgement.
The idea that a transitional camp like Camp O is a place for people to "go use drugs" or "isn’t a real shelter."

Let us be clear:
Starting a camp was never our dream.
But the reality is the gaps in the continuum of care demanded it.

These are major gaps that leave vulnerable women suffering outside with nowhere to go. Traditional shelters cost money. The main shelter in our area is $13 per night. That’s $390/month. For someone with no income, no ID, untreated mental health struggles, and the weight of trauma and substance use—getting accepted at a shelter or program is nearly impossible.

Camp O was created to fill the space that no one else was filling.
It’s not a permanent home. It’s a launchpad.
A place to stabilize, start healing, address mental health, engage in recovery, and pursue income.

Every woman who has stayed at Camp O has a reason for being there—many of them escaping trafficking, violence, or the torment of untreated mental illness. These are people, not problems.

You may not agree with our approach. That’s okay. We know we aren’t everyone’s cup of tea.

We are Offentsive.
And we will always show up where others won't.
