Please welcome 7 year old Daphne to the Misfits. I got a plea to rescue Daphne from a shelter. All she needs is a dental. I reached out to Natalie Ballie an known rescue/ transporter and a lover of dachshunds. She was glad to help out. She when all the way to Adams county to pick up the dog. Normally Myron would have picked her up and driven her part way. Natalie reflected that she has been transporting for us an meeting Myron for 10 years. Myron is still in the hospital with stage 4 cancer. Please keep him in your prayers. Daphne will go up for adoption as soon as she is medically cleared. 💕

Hello everyone! I wanted to give you a little update. Misfits remains temporarily closed while I care for my mom during this end-of-life journey. The timeline is still uncertain, and the past couple of months have been filled with many highs and lows. Please keep her in your prayers for peace, comfort, and a gentle journey.

I also want to ask for prayers for Myron, our wonderful transporter. He has been in and out of the hospital battling cancer and has had an especially difficult month. Please keep his wife, Gloria, in your prayers as well as she stays by his side through all of this.

The Misfits will reopen as soon as I’m able. I miss rescuing more than I can say, and I can’t wait to get back to it. I truly believe rescue is one of the gifts God gave me—I’m just being called to use my heart somewhere else right now.

Thank you for your patience, your prayers, and for continuing to care about the Misfits. Love you guys! 💕💋

Condolences To Zander and his family who gave Asher his best life after coming to Misfits a terrified young dog.
“Hi. I wanted to let you know we had to let Asher go Tuesday. His lymphoma was aggressive and he was declining fast. He went on a good day before he started having really bad days. He was around 9 years old. We adopted him from you when her was about 1 1/2 yrs old. He was Xander's best buddy. The thing Asher loved the most was his boy. “
