41 years of serving South Jersey.
Year 40 brought a lot: the opening of our Center for Health, Wellness & Nutrition, record numbers of neighbors served, and some of the most significant challenges to food security we've seen in decades. But through a government shutdown, a SNAP crisis, and sweeping changes to federal nutrition programs, we didn’t back down – and neither did you. Thanks for helping us feed South Jersey.
Here’s to year 41 – and the next 40 after that.

Yesterday, the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce and United Way of Gloucester County brought their Annual Day of Action to FBSJ, and we are so ! Volunteers from across the business community rolled up their sleeves to make a real difference for neighbors across the region. THANK YOU to all the volunteers and to sponsors Jefferson Health, South Jersey Gas, and ShopRite Zallies!

Last week, Jane and members from our Supply Chain team visited with a number of valued produce partners – including the Mid-Atlantic Regional Cooperative (MARC), Fairgrown Farm, Ryeco, and Landisville Produce Co-operative – to get a firsthand look at the networks that move fresh, local food from farm to neighbor.

MARC is a shared resource we access alongside other neighboring food banks, connecting us to surplus produce and logistics support. Similarly, our partnership with the Landisville Co-Op, the oldest agricultural cooperative in the nation, helps get much-needed nutritious produce to neighbors.

Bonus full-circle moment: Jane's family farm listed on Landisville's 1970s membership list!

Camden City students, this one's for you! 🌱 This summer, the Food Bank of South Jersey is offering Youth Nutrition Outreach Training (YNOT) – an 8-session program where students build real skills in nutrition, cooking, food safety, and public speaking. Complete the program and you're eligible to earn a ServSafe Food Handler Certification plus a paid position as a Nutrition Assistant.

Proud to be part of the Growing Healthy Pantries statewide effort and that our partners at Horizon BCBSNJ are helping shine a World Cup-sized spotlight on food insecurity here in New Jersey.

Horizon and New Jersey's five Feeding America food banks are using the World Cup spotlight to raise awareness of food insecurity through the Growing Healthy Pantries initiative.
