🍂 Enjoy a fall evening near a cozy fire for story time featuring Where the Wild Heart Grows. This collection of stories, written by Michael Allio and illustrated by Luke Stretar, is rooted in the natural world and explores some of life's most important lessons.

🌲Weather permitting, the event will also include a short walk along a trail in Cuyahoga Valley National Park before settling in for story time near the fireplace.

Notice the little things in nature and life. 💚

Join us for a 90-minute Nature Rx experience exploring how slowing down and paying attention to the little things can help cultivate gratitude in our everyday lives.

We'll begin indoors with a brief introduction to the science of gratitude and its benefits for well-being. Then, we'll venture outdoors to discover the tiny wonders of nature that often go unnoticed. We'll return indoors for reflection and explore simple ways to bring these micro moments of gratitude into our daily lives. 🍂

Earlier this week, students from Lincoln Elementary came to Cuyahoga Valley National Park to learn at the Ledges. There’s nothing like hiking through the forest on a beautiful fall day. 🍂 The kids had fun climbing among the rock formations and learning about the area’s geology.

One of the best parts of programming offered by the Cuyahoga Valley Environmental Education center is making connections IN nature. 🔎 During their outdoor exploration, the kids learned about processes like erosion, deposition, and weathering by looking closely at their surroundings, making observations, and even feeling textures. Needless to say, this day rocked! 🪨

Every October, Make a Difference Day brings people together to improve their communities through hands-on action. 💚 We're so grateful for everyone (like these two awesome volunteers) who came to restore habitat in CVNP during our first two Make a Difference Day events!

✨ If you're feeling inspired to get outdoors, lend a hand, and give back to CVNP, there's still time to sign up for our Make a Difference Day event on October 24th! (Note: Registration closes at 4:00 pm on 10/23).

As a volunteer, you’ll help restore native plants, improve soil health, and create a better habitat for wildlife! Suitable for ages 10 and up.
