Some times it take a little push to get people motivated. Glad they plan on continuing the program and I hope it is successful. From my experience it will take a village and I hope people step up and get involved. I greatly respected and appreciated everything John Denning did for the program and hope those in charge now continue to support it in the way it deserves.

A big thank you to all that commented, messaged and called about this. As a life long Boys & Girls Club supporter and participant I would love nothing more than for the club to continue the program. Sometimes it takes a little noise to get a "conversation " going with some people 😉.

One thing desperately needed is volunteers. While there were already coaches set up previously for 4th & 6th this year, coaches for a 5th grade team,, team managers and a coordinator are likely still needed.

If interested in assisting or wanting to help continue the "conversation " id recommend contacting the club and talking to CEO Rachel Doan program coordinator Adam Burgess or any of the board members.

Ive repeatedly offered to provide any assistance I can to a new program coordinator and continue to extend the offer if needed/wanted.

This page is now officially considered inactive. Additionally this program is now defunct. This page is no longer associated in any way with the Boys & Girls Club of Pekin. If there is another page using this programs name please be advised it is not affiliated with this page.

I appreciate all that was done by John Denning, all of our previous coaches, players and their families. It is my hope that someone organizes a travel program for girls in our community.
