Hey guys it's Cody, I partnered with United Food Bank and they will be doing a mobile distribution once a month. It is for anyone who needs groceries that has a valid ID and you just pull up in your car and they load your groceries.

One useful number to save and share:

The National Call Center for Homeless Veterans is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 877-424-3838.

The call is free and confidential, and Veterans, family members, friends, and service providers can call to connect with VA homelessness resources.

Sometimes helping begins by knowing which door to try first.

A bed is easy to count.

But what does a safe place to sleep really provide?

A night out of the cold. Rest. Routine. Dignity. A little less fear. And sometimes enough breathing room to begin thinking about what comes next.

Our newest blog looks beyond the number of beds provided and at what overnight shelter can mean for someone who has been solving the question of where to sleep every single night.

What actually happens when someone comes to the Payson Warming Center for help?

Sometimes it starts with a meal. Sometimes a shower, clean clothing, pantry items, or a Blessing Bag with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, bottled water, and—when available—a snack or two. Sometimes it starts with a conversation about paperwork, transportation, housing, or another resource.

Our newest blog walks through what happens when someone comes through the door and why people do not need to have everything figured out before asking for help.

One of the biggest lessons from this week’s blog:
Progress does not have to be dramatic to matter.
Sometimes success is getting a birth certificate.
Sometimes it is making the right phone call.
Sometimes it is getting to an appointment.
Sometimes it is simply leaving a conversation with a little more hope than you had when you walked in.
Case management is often about removing one barrier so the next step becomes possible.

Sometimes the hardest part of moving forward is not knowing what the next step is.
A missing birth certificate. A confusing letter. No transportation. No phone. No idea which agency to call.
That’s where advocacy can make a difference.
Our newest blog looks at how PHHVI’s advocate helps people work through real barriers one step at a time — with paperwork, phone calls, referrals, transportation help, document recovery, and most importantly, someone willing to listen.

Small problems can become much bigger when someone has no safe place to stay, no transportation, no identification, or no clear path to the right resources.
Our newest blog looks at the community cost of crisis—and why early, practical help can matter.
At PHHVI, that help may look like food, a shower, clean clothing, transportation, help replacing documents, advocacy, or simply helping someone figure out the next step.
