This is my friend Andy. He has had a pretty bad year health wise and its a little tough for him to get around. . He drew a muzzle loader dear tag and asked if could help him get it, so I am going to take him on our property, hook him up with a buck, and see how he does. He also informed me he would be donating the meat to one of our chairbound friends, which is way cool. Wish us luck, and hopefully I can help him fulfill his dream.

Hey everyone. It's officially official...we are hunting on Bowns Dairy for our handicapped dove hunt next week. I will be there all week and have decoys and shells. We will feed you and get you into the field, wheelchairs and all! A special thanks to Clark Bown and all of the Bown bunch, for allowing us to get our special friends into some great hunting! Hey everyone, dove season starts September 1st. Its on a Tuesday but I will be able to have any handicapped or vets who would like to come, show anytime thru the weekend. Hopefully i will be up and around 100%. It's always a blast with lots of shooting. We maybe can evèn get to our favorite spot on the dàiry. Let me know if you are coming so i can plan! Fred Barber

Hey everyone, it has been a disastrous year for waterfowl hunting at our refuge. We couldn’t get a lot of you out with us, but it wouldn’t have been fun anyway. I lost my dog and in addition, I lost two of my best helpers to physical problems, so we had to cut way back. The good news is we hope everything will get back to normal this year, and we get you all out as much as we can. Don’t forget to put in for the hunts coming up. Thank you
